Also, don't we have to question some of those trade rumors since Phoenix also turned them down apparently?

The Wolves were the most exciting young team in the league and just got gifted another tremendous piece. Will be fun to watch.

I like brown, was hoping for a trade down to get him... Put me in the camp - better with C's than the Bears

This is a good point. The scuttlebutt on The Vertical earlier by Woj was that PHX would deal #4 for best offer and it doesn't look like it happened.

If it's true that Chicago wanted LaVine and 5 for Butler I am even more upset at Ainge. You really couldn't beat that?!?!

I'd call Brown a surprising pick. But like 4 days ago he was a popular pick around here. The Colangelos want Dunn, and all of the sudden he's the slam dunk #3 guy in this draft?
I think the disappointment was that Dunn was rated just as higly or higher by many scouts and there was the possibility of moving him for other assets if you couldn't cut a deal. If they "got stuck" with him, they could use a true PG anyway or it would have freed up other assets to move. Brown seems like he's here to stay and there's a big boom/bust cpaacity.

You assume that Chicago was correctly valuing LaVine. Perhaps they way overrate him like another team might overrate, say Brown.

At the end of the day, I admit I don't know much about Brown or anyone else, I'm more disappointed that no trade was there to be made.

So I'll just leave this here: any chance of getting a good player in a trade for 16 and 23? Or maybe throwing in a 2nd?

Also remember that someone leaks everything and we don't know if they are complete or accurate.

Okay, who do we want to fall to 16?
Well, we've got our 3 for the future (assuming that Wyc means no trade will follow), so we need big men. Will Skal fall? He's got tools, and like Brown, a disappointing freshman.

Seems pretty obvious all the Dunn talk was just made by Ainge and company to get offers from Bulls and Sixers. They never intended to take him at all. Brown always the guy.

Thibs might not like butler
