If.If that Sixers reported offer is true, then fuck off Wyc.
If.
If.If that Sixers reported offer is true, then fuck off Wyc.
Noel, 24, and 26??If that Sixers reported offer is true, then fuck off Wyc.
I don't believe Ainge ever intended on drafting Dunn to play for the Celtics though. He was the chip for a team looking for a PG to run their team.Seems pretty obvious all the Dunn talk was just made by Ainge and company to get offers from Bulls and Sixers. They never intended to take him at all. Brown always the guy.
Thibs might not like butler
Don't forget summer league legend Robert Covington.Noel, 24, and 26??
And Covington. But I'd prefer just Noel, 23 & 26 to Brown.Noel, 24, and 26??
Yeah I don't get the garment-rending over this.Don't forget summer league legend Robert Covington.
That's 3 8th men and 1 year of Noel.
What the next move though? Have 7 draft pick playing in the D league? And Covington. But I'd prefer just Noel, 23 & 26 to Brown.
LOLOLOL. yeah, rightAdam Kaufman @AdamMKaufman 31s32 seconds ago
Wyc Grousbeck still touting #Celtics desire to add TWO max free agents. He's on @985TheSportsHub now.
Isn't that the next move now? What the next move though? Have 7 draft pick playing in the D league?
I'd rather do that than draft Brown. Anything could happen, but Brown is a big dog to be a good NBA player from where I sit. What the next move though? Have 7 draft pick playing in the D league?
Just used as an example for other draft day let downs. That trade had nothing to do with Telfair.
Pretty much. So the two Philly picks would have been extra useless.Isn't that the next move now?
So the question becomes Noel or Brown. And that seems like a really easy answer to me.Pretty much. So the two Philly picks would have extra useless.
You may very well be right, but Danny clearly feels differently.I'd rather do that than draft Brown. Anything could happen, but Brown is a big dog to be a good NBA player from where I sit.
Bogdan Bogdanovich.Looks like PHX got 2 of rumored top 3 on their board. Wonder what it took to go 13 to 8
1 year of Noel before likely handing him a max deal may have played into it...So the question becomes Noel or Brown. And that seems like a really easy answer to me.
Is there anything less surprising than Jason Kidd taking somebody that's long?My god, Thon Maker going 10 makes me feel much better about Brown going 3.
This place has lost it's mind.1 year of Noel before likely handing him a max deal may have played into it...
Wyc gets REALLY fired up on draft night and pretty much loses his mind. Don't know if you were around a decade ago but I sent him an email blasting him and he responded by blasting me back. I woke up the next morning with an apology and 4 club seats for us at a game that he sent to my Dad with a nice letter.Adam Kaufman @AdamMKaufman 31s32 seconds ago

Maybe this happening again...Is there anything less surprising than Jason Kidd taking somebody that's long?
1 year of Noel before likely handing him a max deal may have played into it...
In the second round, right?OMG...Thon Maker 10th. LOL
I am simply trying to understand Danny's logic. Clearly he either likes Brown more than Noel (most likely the case) or their situations played into the decision. This place has lost it's mind.
That paints you into a corner, though. I'm disappointed at the (apparent) lack of a deal, but if Noel and the back of the first round was the best they were offered, no thanks.I don't believe Ainge ever intended on drafting Dunn to play for the Celtics though. He was the chip for a team looking for a PG to run their team.
Quick, offer than RJ Hunter for Middleton!!Bucks taking Thon Maker? Wot?
Not only awful....but God-awful! You move 4 years of a high upside rookie for 1 year of a high upside young veteran who you have to spend $100m next summer to retain......puke. Covington is a JAG, nothing more.I'm sorry Phillys offer was awful. We can get a Covington type player in the 2nd round and the picks were useless. Noel is maybe worth 16 or 23. And I don't have a direct source but Chicago was not offering Butler according to a friend who works for the Tribune.
Brown is going to be the "stats vs scout/upside" poster boy for the next few years. He doesn't project well with a lot of computer models, so someone's gonna get to throw out a lot of "told you so's".I'd rather do that than draft Brown. Anything could happen, but Brown is a big dog to be a good NBA player from where I sit.
