Mayo has Roniel Raudes ranked as the 5th best starting pitching prospect in the Red Sox system, behind Kopech, Groome, Johnson, and Lakins. But in terms of ceiling, you could make the case that Raudes is the third best starting pitching prospect in the Red Sox system, behind only Kopech and Groome.

According to Mayo:
Raudes has done a nice job in Greenville this year, averaging almost a strikeout per inning while keeping the walks down. BB/K ratios: 1.69/8.63. He has impressive command/control for someone so young, probably the best and most promising aspect of his game.Raudes led the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League with a gaudy 63/3 K/BB ratio in his 2015 pro debut, which he concluded by allowing a total of two runs in four Rookie-level Gulf Coast League starts.
Raudes has added about 5 mph to his fastball since signing and now pitches at 89-91 with a max velocity of 93. He should throw harder once he adds some muscle to his skinny frame, and his heater already plays up because of his precocious ability to locate it where he wants. He also has a pair of promising secondary pitches, with his downer curveball presently ranking ahead of his fading changeup.
Extremely advanced for an 18-year-old, Raudes has a chance to become a mid-rotation starter. Boston may keep him in short-season ball this year to avoid piling too many innings on his young arm, but his stuff and feel for pitching could get him to Fenway Park before he turns 22.
