jan 14 in foxboro shouild be funThe broncos are the NFL's baby. So it's not shocking.
There was actually a great down-the-line angle. It didn't definitively show that the runner was OOB. I think that's why the call on the field was upheld, even though the cross-field angle shows that was the wrong call. You need something down the line... like fixed cameras?
did u forget 1992 7-3 when Elway was lost for the season with elway in the playoffs that wouild led to a TEX super bowl with HOU beating DalSo instead of losing 24-23, they pull a win out of their collective assed on a blocked PAT that gets run back for two points.
No luck involved there at all, that's just mad skills on the part of the Broncos to mug the center, jump over him and not make contact, block the kick right into the hands of a guy who tightropes all the way down the sideline.
Lucky ass bunch of lucky ass fuckers, been watching shit like this since 1977.
no Oak vs NO without that coaching move and win raiders are 5-4 at best right nowGame of the year so far
not as a 6th seed and beating hou in round 1Um, the Broncos are in third place currently. Jan 14th in Foxboro is getting ahead of things a bit.
Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of;did u forget 1992 7-3 when Elway was lost for the season with elway in the playoffs that wouild led to a TEX super bowl with HOU beating Dal
1996 Gag job aga Jax
2001 most of the team was hurt denver had super bowl hopes but poor OL and Poor def made us 8-8
2002-2008 ex for 2005 fast start ended by gag jobs exp in 06 08
2009 we pulled a Minnesota
2012 1st haif aga balt
2014 we were sared of NE played a bad game aga indy
only lucky part was 1983 draft when irisey took a very bad deal with Egar kasier jr denver owner before bolwen because they were buddies
Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of;
1977 AFCCG; the fumble that wasn't called, Oakland recovered a clear fumble, but they weren't given the ball, some nonsense about the whistle had blown, yet the fumble occurred way before the whistle blew. Denver scored a TD on that drive and won the game by 3 points.
1984 The Patriots under new coach Raymond Berry were on fire heading into Denver and they were driving for the game winning TD when the sure handed Mosi Tatupu fumbled and the Denver ran it all the way back for a TD.
The Drive; on a key third down, Elway was in the shotgun and as the ball was snapped, a receiver in motion passed the center, the ball hit him but miraculously deflected right into Elways hands, who whipped the ball downfield for a first down to keep The Drive going.
The Fumble; Byner was walking into end zone for the tying score when some no name tomato can on Denver flung his arm out in desperation, knocked the ball out and Denver recovered and won the game.
2006 AFC playoffs; Brady throws a PIC on the goal line that Champ Bailey runs all the way back, Ben Watson comes from across the field and knocks the ball out of his hands as he's crossing the goal line through the back of the end zone, should have been a touchback, no TD, New Englands ball, but nope, the TD stands and Denver goes on to win.
Denver has the perfect mascot; a horse considering the horseshoe they've had wedged up their asses for decades.
And JMan; I hope your Dad is feeling better.............at the end of the day, this is just sports, the toy box of life, family is what's really important, hope he's doing ok............................as much as I hate Denver, truth be told I was happy for you (and only you) when the won the Super Bowl last year.
I forgot about that one.............the list is long enough without it.what about 87 when NE blows a bid lead in denver that if u win denver misses the playoffs
Oakland is on the other side of the bay from San Mateo; San Francisco is definitely easier to get to. Candlestick especially, since it's on the southern end of SF. It's probably less clear-cut now that they play down in Santa Clara.Just because it's not worth a new thread I was wondering why this past weekend's game was "Tom Brady's First trip playing at home" when he's played at the stadium at Oakland 3 times (with the stadium having 3 different names!) and Oakland is just as close to San Mateo as San Francisco is. I get that he was a 49er fan. Just not why it was such a big homecoming.
Yeah, I remember Tom Rtahman well. He was an animal. It's not exactly like Yankees and Mets and their fans because it's California, but the 49ers and Raiders and their fans don't care for each other. So, I'd bet Brady and his family, being from the West Bay, didn't have much use for the East Bay based Raiders at all. The Raiders may as well have been in Las Vegas.
Funny, one of the old 49ers Tom mentioned as meeting with him before the game and one of his favorites, Tom Rathman, was a real animal. A chiseled blocking fullback type who would hurl himself at anybody and I remember him getting off snot rockets on the sidelines like Madison Bumgarner. The other guys Tom mentioned, Montana, Clark, Steve Young, Roger Craig, OK, everybody could idolize those guys.
