Apparently the FBI has found Brady's Jersey...more details to come.

Jay Glazer:
More details coming up later on @fs1 including FBI being involved bc jersey was on foreign soil, FBI and NFL Sec located Tom Brady's stolen Super Bowl jersey FOX Sports has learned

http://www.twitlonger.com/show/nnivs4

I had thought some guy probably grabbed it and didn't think it through. Will be interesting to see where this thing went.

NFL statement on finding Tom Brady's Super Bowl jersey: "Through the cooperation of the NFL and New England Patriots' security teams, the FBI and other law enforcement authorities, the Super Bowl LI jersey worn last month by MVP Tom Brady has been recovered. Also retrieved during the ongoing investigation was the jersey Brady wore in the Patriots' victory in Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks in 2015. The items were found in the possession of a credentialed member of the international media. Due to the ongoing investigation, we would refer any additional questions to the FBI."

Did anyone even know his SB49 jersey was missing too? Strange that this one was such a big deal yet i hadn't heard a thing about the other one.
No wonder the guy took this one, he probably figured no one gave a crap last time, why not try it again.

Yes, Brady said something about it Post-XLI along the lines of "Sucks it happened again, my jersey from SB49 went missing too".

Not sure why there wasn't more made of it last time, but it was this time.

NFL had something else they were focused on post SB49, it consumed a bit of their time.

Looks like the HPD solved it and the FBI assisted since it was in Mexico. They should be able to parlay this into a CSI-Houston spin off.

HPD criminal intelligence division: "He had legitimate access to the super bowl".

Well, that narrows it down to a mere 80,000 suspects. Good work fellas, take the rest of the day off!

sure, though that's not what the HPD Chief said.

edit: I'm willing to bet that the "number of people seen on CCTV tape actually taking Brady's jersey" was smaller still.

Well, according to the NFL statement quoted by JhonnyK, the items were found in the possession of a credentialed member of the international media.

CCTV tape is not supposed to exist in the locker room, but I have had my doubts on that from the beginning.

“Well he doesn’t have to go on eBay anymore, because the investigation is leading to that jersey, as well as his Super Bowl jersey from a couple of years ago, going back to the New England Patriots and Tom Brady.

So here’s actually what happened. The FBI and the NFL security, along with Patriots security and the Houston PD, they actually went through all this video to try and track somebody down, and they zeroed in on somebody, a person of interest.

That person of interest, from what I’m told, is an international member of the media. I don’t believe he’s actually a member of the media, but he was posing as a member of the international media. Got credentialed, it’s been going on for quite some time.

And he actually, from what I’m told, they have him going into the locker room right behind Bill Belichick as if he’s with the team. Goes in there, loiters around a little while and is seen leaving the locker room — this is the video they’re trying to look at right now — seen leaving a little bit later with something under his arm.

He goes in without anything under his arm, just your normal media backpack, comes out later with the backpack plus something under his arm. They’ve all zeroed in now, and from what I understand, Houston PD just put out that they were found down in Mexico and had to deal with authorities there to get them back on American soil. They had to authenticate them, make sure these were actually Tom Brady’s jerseys, and in fact they were. From what I understand, they will be returned to the Patriots and Brady some time this week.”

F***in Van Noy... dude waltzed right past him! Make the stop!
We have to be better in all three phases, investigation, prosecution, civil asset forfeiture. I haven't watched the tape yet, but our pre-theft reads have got to improve, and we've got to make the tackle when it's in front of us. Coaches have to coach better, surveillance systems have to surveil better, fencers of hot goods have to fence better... have to do better across the board.

So basically... do your job.

I loved the Houston Police Chief calling them out.

Did they never bother to even investigate the other thefts?
Given the involvement of one of Roger's minions in the theft of K balls at the AFCCG, perhaps they didn't want to look too closely.

What's with the old guy walking through in a towel from 1:22-1:25 of that video? Took a shower during OT?!?

It's like the killer in 'Too Many Cooks'. Somebody should follow up on that guy, clearly up to no good.

Well that ruins the joke I guess. I had a thought that maybe it was Dante but figured it was too close to the end of the game for him to have gotten in and out of the shower already.

Yeah it wasn't over when Slater called the coin flip. That's ridiculous. It was over when Slater remembered this time to take the ball.
