That's actually an interesting point -This actually makes a lot of sense, because if the Sens had immediately picked the puck off Acciardi, marched down ice and scored, you bet your ass that goal wasn't going to be overturned despite the fact that the play should have been dead from the offsides.
I like it, excellent idea. You know, the way they make the offsides/replay rule even slightly palatable is make it similar to a delayed penalty. The second the defensive teams has any sort of possession, any offsides entry is null and the play counts.
Dogs it? He didn't even fucking skate.Wow. Dude dogs it into the corner, gets the ice. Nice consistency.
Great great sport. Unfathomably terrible league.I said after the last game I wished I could turn it off and not watch anymore but I'm a weak weak man. I'm wishing I could again after that horseshit rule comers into play. What a fucking stupid league.
It was Karlsson. Only reason there's a call.Phaneuf fucking stopped.
Who says it even needs to be on the next Bruins possession? Why not just let that offsides sit out there until the next whistle, so if any team scores prior to the next whistle, either one of them can call for a review. Could be 10 minutes after the offisdes, and 40 different possessions, but it should still work the same way. That's actually an interesting point -
Say that scenario happens, the Bruins are offsides and the play should be called dead, but isn't. If the Sens pick off a point to point pass, and score on the breakaway, can the Bruins challenge and say the play shouldn't have counted? Is that a loophole in the system?
Looked like a shit call. Fake internet laughing beats smashing a $2,000 TV.????
#humblebragLooked like a shit call. Fake internet laughing beats smashing a $2,000 TV.
I meant on the icing leading up to the penalty. It was Karlsson. Only reason there's a call.
It's 100% guys sitting in a fuckin office in Toronto trying to justify their existence by solving problems that don't exist.Fuck this podunk bullshit league. The fact that they are so starved for adding goals they are thinking of changing rules that have existed for half a century but pull a goal off the board in the playoffs because of an offsides a full minute before the actual goal is so bullshit it makes me want to punch a puppy
Shit that would be an awesome challenge by Boston. This actually makes a lot of sense. If the Sens immediately picked the puck off Acciardi, marched down ice and scored, you can bet your ass that goal would count despite the fact that the play should have been dead from the previous offsides.
You'd have to tell the guys in the league office what "scenario," "loophole," and "system" mean before they could answer your question. That's actually an interesting point -

I wish it could have happened when Clode was still around. His blustery indignation would be perfect.Shit that would be an awesome challenge by Boston.
He looked great in games 1-3, and he looks even better tonight. I am excited for his future.McAvoy is starting to step up and carry the play more. Like he's realizing that not only does he belong in this league, but that he's one of the better players in it.
Wouldnt the offsides get washed a out once everyone cleared the offensive zone? You'd have to tell the guys in the league office what "scenario," "loophole," and "system" mean before they could answer your question.
The first three games he looked solid, tonight he's starting to look electric, if that makes any sense. He looked great in games 1-3, and he looks even better tonight. I am excited for his future.
The thought is that the play should have been called dead the second the Bruins possessed the puck inside the offensive zone while off-sides, so the clock needs to be reset to when the offsides happened any anything that occurred after is void.Wouldnt the offsides get washed a out once everyone cleared the offensive zone?
It does, and that's what I was trying to say... poorly. The first three games he looked solid, tonight he's starting to look electric, if that makes any sense.
