Dude, you're being an asshole. But that's ok. To answer your question, yes. Given the lack of anything from the bench since Blake went out, anything would have been better. He still has life in legs.Guess they should've gone to Brandon Bass to replace Blake huh?
Ingles is the not the answer to the athletic scoring they need from the wing. He had a nice little series but don't lose your mind, Durant or Klay are about to eat him alive. The Clippers cut Ingles a few years ago as the last roster cut and the irony is that he would be the perfect starting SF for them.
Yeah. I'm very at peace with this. I hate the fn warriors with a kobe-shaq passion and having to watch them sweep us by an average of 50 points a game would not have been fun. Now I can just not watch the series like gsw-porThe Clips would have gotten embarrassed by Golden State. At least Utah will show up.
So, here is what I see for your Clippers going forward. They are going to do a S&T with Paul going somewhere and perhaps Blake too. Would you take Kyrie Irving plus, say Richard Jefferson (to make the deal work)? Because I believe that Cleveland (or LeBron) would do that in a second if Cleveland doesn't win this season.Yeah. Honestly, you could have Pop coach this team and I'm not sure what else could be done. Paul is still quite good but he's going to be 32 soon. Griffin was hurt and always tends to be. Jordan is a quality player and has been pretty consistent. And the rest of the roster is a collection of meh or worse. Clippers look like a team whose window has closed. They have no young talent at all.How secure is Doc Rivers' job? The Clippers have been consistently good with him as a coach but seem to have under performed in the playoffs. I'm not sure a coaching change is the right answer for the team but then again I know very little about what is going on in LA.
Yeah, Doc the Head Coach was hamstrung by Doc the Awful GM. Ballmer LOVES Doc and will do all he can to convince him not to go to Orlando. They will likely run back the same group next year and have similar results.Honestly, you could have Pop coach this team and I'm not sure what else could be done. I admit to not following closely, but what would Cleveland's incentive be for a Paul-for Kyrie deal?I really think Paul is gone. He knows the window is closing and he also knows this group cannot win unless the Warriors implode and San Antonio, Houston and Utah all get worse. I bet he either exercise the ETO or forces a S&T to another contender. If Cleveland either fails to make or win the Finals, I could see the whole Team Banana Boat idea begin to take hold. Again, if Cleveland calls the Clippers and dangles Kyrie plus some filler to make the numbers work, who says no?
They shouldn't be too keen on it but there has been a long-standing friendship between LeBron and Paul. Furthermore, while Paul is almost seven years older than Kyrie, he has been a better defender, distributor and mid-range player.I admit to not following closely, but what would Cleveland's incentive be for a Paul-for Kyrie deal?
Doesn't this scream San Antonio? Problem I see is that Gasol has a player option for 2017-2018 that he could exercise and they'd have to dump Parker's expiring deal but I can't think of a better situation for him than the Spurs. They shouldn't be too keen on it but there has been a long-standing friendship between LeBron and Paul. Paul, at this point, should be looking to join a team that can win. If Cleveland somehow gets bounced before the Finals or fails to win, I can see LeBron pushing for a move like this. From his perspective, Paul appears to give Cleveland a better chance to win (though his ability to stay healthy should give anyone pause) and that is all he likely cares about.
Regardless, I think we've seen the last of Paul as a Clipper. He needs a shot at a ring and it isn't happening on Ballmer's squad.
The dividends for CP3 — assuming he wants to remain with the Clippers, and the Clippers want to keep him — are immediately evident. For all practical purposes, under the Over-36 Rule Paul would have been looking at a max contract of four years, $156 million.
Under the Over-38 Rule, he’s looking at a max contract of five years, $201 million.
In other words, because of this one simple rule change, this summer Chris Paul can potentially lock in $45 million in guaranteed salary for the season in which he turns 37 years old.
This doesn't prevent him from moving. It only means an acquiring team has to pay the salary. You guys are crazy.
Chris Paul - the President of the players union - negotiated the new over-38 rule, which applies to him and like, 5 other people. He's going to be a $200 million man, and he ain't going anywhere.
Was coming here to post similar. Paul worked his ass off during these negotiations including the no-trade clause for 8/4 guys. There was talk around the all-star break about the $200m extension being a done deal and the President of the Players Union isn't going to allow himself to be traded to Sacramento or Brooklyn. Ballmer loves Doc, loves Paul, and they lost a playoff series again primarily due to injuries. He isn't breaking up this crew for the right to win 30 games next year and Paul isn't going to give up tens of millions of dollars to sign elsewhere while also giving up his no-trade rights. You guys are crazy.

Which isn't going to happen. So he's staying. The money involved here isn't insignificant. This doesn't prevent him from moving. It only means an acquiring team has to pay the salary.
With the new CBA, I believe it is something like Dec 1 until a newly signed FA can be moved. And that huge 200 million dollar deal is only there for him if he signs with the Clippers. This doesn't prevent him from moving. It only means an acquiring team has to pay the salary.
Unequivocally, yes.3rd party ticket broker question:
I'm going to go through stubhub or seatgeek to grab tickets to Spurs/Rockets Game 5. If I were to jump on tickets today and someone swept, do I get a full refund, including fees?
Edit: seems like both sites have a contingent game provision and offer full refunds.
You guys may be right about him staying put but I believe the December deadline (Dec 15th) only applies to actual FAs.With the new CBA, I believe it is something like Dec 1 until a newly signed FA can be moved. He isn't going anywhere.
That was sweet. The roof just came off in Cleveland. That ally oop from Kyrie to Lebron was ridiculous.
How much would you bet right now on Houston winning this series?Lot easier to be the best coach ever when you have the best power forward ever
I'm dying, Chappelle Austin or Spurs rd 2 first half is funniest thing I've seen in 2017
All of it? Not really. It's just one game. How much would you bet right now on Houston winning this series?
