watching Steven Adams abuse the Cavs makes me want the Celtics to use the DPE on Monroe once he is bought out.
Thomas not exactly going to help their poor defense.Cavs score 124 points, and lose by 24. That's like really, really hard to do.
That was my first reaction too. When a team scores 124, you assume they won, or if they lost, it wasn't by double digits.Cavs score 124 points, and lose by 24. That's like really, really hard to do.
I’m down with that. Give me Monroe and Tyreke and maybe a small dose of Hayward and let’s get it on.watching Steven Adams abuse the Cavs makes me want the Celtics to use the DPE on Monroe once he is bought out.
Not sure how they could pull off getting both those guysI’m down with that. Give me Monroe and Tyreke
Nader+Larkin for Evans, if Memphis views Nader as a late first/early 2nd round equivalent. (Jeff Van Gundy loves Nader, for whatever that's worth). Not sure how they could pull off getting both those guys
You have to admit that a seven game series between the teams at full strength would be amazing.I really dislike Houston, but I have an impossible time rooting for Golden State.
Town jerseys. It's part of their uni rotation and the goal is, of course, to make $$$What's the deal with the Warriors' unis?
Absolutely, would be a blast to watch. I'd just be rooting for them to beat the shit out of each other the whole time. You have to admit that a seven game series between the teams at full strength would be amazing.
If Nader/Larkin gets it done for Tyreke, then I think Danny would pull that trigger in less than a nanosecond. I just really, really, really don't think that gets it done. Evans is on the verge of being a pretty special player in the league, IMO. And Nader/Larkin, well, they just aren't..Nader+Larkin for Evans, if Memphis views Nader as a late first/early 2nd round equivalent. (Jeff Van Gundy loves Nader, for whatever that's worth).
Use the DPE for Monroe.
I'm going to show my ignorance and ask what the significance of Town is, as it relates to Golden State.Town jerseys. It's part of their uni rotation and the goal is, of course, to make $$$
I believe it signifies their time in Oakland.I'm going to show my ignorance and ask what the significance of Town is, as it relates to Golden State.
Up 3 with the ball and 30 seconds to go. And no Butler today2 terrible Wolves possessions in a row net them 6 points. Up 2 and the ball over Raps with 1:23 left. I'd take the Raps
Nader+Larkin for Evans, if Memphis views Nader as a late first/early 2nd round equivalent. (Jeff Van Gundy loves Nader, for whatever that's worth).
Use the DPE for Monroe.
Is it fair to say they are sold, but no one is using them? Iif they book the revenue anyway then it really lowers the incentive to change anything, empty seats or not.Lot of awesome, but empty seats down near the floor for this one. If they can't sell the courtside seats for a Saturday night game against the Warriors, when can they sell them?
Young’s on a one-year MLE, and the Ws are totally capped out even without Andre’s $16M. All they have to offer for the foreseeable future is the MLE, which I’m sure they’d happily offer to LeBron if he were willing to take it. The league would love that. The issues with the Cavs are really troubling. IT isn't going to help their defensive issues, but they go far beyond just a weak defender here and there. To rank 29th, it is a whole team issue. Guys are not consistently giving a great effort and whatever system Lue and his staff are running is clearly not working. Look at this play here between Wade and Thompson trying to "switch" on a pick and roll:
I don't think these problems can be solved easily by a trade or by the Cavs just flipping a switch. I don't want to keep speculating this, but I have to think the overall uncertainty of LeBron's future is weighing down the team. The front office should be reluctant to make win-now moves unless they have a serious commitment from LeBron, and LeBron's entire handling of the "LeBron to LA" rumor has been odd. He hasn't denied it, and his career history indicates that when he doesn't think he can win a championship in his current situation, he goes to a place that gives him a better shot. Throw in his passive-aggressive use of social media, the uncertainty of Lue's future in Cleveland, etc. it can't be easy playing for that team, because everyone's future in Cleveland basically depends on whether or not LeBron is staying.
If Golden State traded Iggy and Nick Young for cap relief, I think they might be able to sign LeBron this off-season. If his whole goal is to win championships, that would be the best place for him to go.
I wonder how LeBron and Pop would work togetherYoung’s on a one-year MLE, and the Ws are totally capped out even without Andre’s $16M. All they have to offer for the foreseeable future is the MLE, which I’m sure they’d happily offer to LeBron if he were willing to take it. The league would love that.
More realistically, I think he probably ends up in Houston, SA, or back in Miami (near his pharmacists and hair-growth experts, plus Spoelstra must now seem like the second coming of John Wooden after Blatt and Lue).
100% agree with what you are implying hereback in Miami (near his pharmacists and hair-growth experts, plus Spoelstra must now seem like the second coming of John Wooden after Blatt and Lue).
I am sure you were mostly joking, but this is a huge "no" for me. Big men who can't either spread the floor or defend the rim are obsolete in the modern NBA.watching Steven Adams abuse the Cavs makes me want the Celtics to use the DPE on Monroe once he is bought out.
I've posted this several times before, but they can do what they did with Paul. If Lebron picks up his option, they can trade for him. It would take Anderson, Gordon, and enough draft picks to make it worthwhile for Cleveland. The LeBron to Houston thing, which has picked up steam over the past few months, makes little sense to me. If anyone can figure out how to clear space to add LeBron, its Morey. That said, does anyone really see either LeBron or D'Antoni embracing one another? The Rockets already have two ball dominant superstars and a system that, at least, plays to their respective strengths. LeBron, for as good as he is, doesn't feel like a great fit for the Rockets.
That said, I get that the Lakers with George and LeBron plus their core of youngsters will struggle to compete. However his next stop - and he may stay in Cleveland one more year - is likely somewhat about his next career versus this one. Once again, LA or NY gives him access to business opportunities that aren't available in Houston or even Philly.
I know you've posted this in the past and it makes sense. Like I said, Morey is as good as they come at these sorts of deals so if anyone can, its him.I've posted this several times before, but they can do what they did with Paul. If Lebron picks up his option, they can trade for him. It would take Anderson, Gordon, and enough draft picks to make it worthwhile for Cleveland.
No idea what his thought process is, but I'd imagine from a PR perspective going to Miami would have appeal in that it would make him look less like a journeyman mercenary than if he went to the Rockets, Spurs, Lakers, etc. He'd remain a "two team guy" — like Jordan, Kareem, Wilt, Durant et al.I hate to say it but the Miami idea gives me pause. He's worked with Riley and Spo before and they have assets. Interesting.
Good; I always had the impression he sucked (as a coach). Now hopefully they can snag Fizdale before the Cavs do.
