Big road tests today. UNC at UVA right now where they haven’t won in their last four tries since 2012. Duke at NC State tonight which has been a house of horrors lately

Edit: UVA spurts at the end of the first half, UNC never makes it a one possession in the second half, UVA wins comfortably 61-49. UNC shot under 30% from the floor, 16-54, 8-23 from 3 (so 8-31 from 2, ouch).

Would have been nice to win at FSU on Wednesday or whatever night it was cause they just never win at JPJ. League wins on the road are going to be like uncovering hidden treasure.

Feels like another one of those 6/16 sweet 16 teams are ACC

You guys aren't letting him skate on this bullshit are you? You're young by choice and he's the one who won't use his bench when you're skullfucking Eastern Dumbfuck U by 70 at Cameron in November.

“We’re a very young team, and we’re not deep,” K says. “We haven’t played much in this last month.”

His back must be hurting. At least he got his team off before that scary court storm

Robinson could be a sneaky complement as the season goes on

After Clemson took the L @ NC State tonight, road ACC teams are now 7-22 in conference play, with two of the seven being @ Pitt.

Most impressive of the bunch was Louisville's 73-69 upset of the Seminoles in Tallahassee on Wednesday night, which ended FSU's 28-game home winning streak. The Cardinals were down 45-32 at the half.

The other road wins not involving Panthers were UVa > VaTech, VaTech > Wake, Clem > BC and NDame > Syracuse.

I saw David Robinson strolling the super market in Durham this fall and he is by far the most handsome super tall person I have ever encountered in my life. Really any contribution from any bench player would be a huge boost for Duke going forward-- it is aggravating to watch them beat up on teams early in the year with the starters playing 35 minutes, as usual. It seems like they should be able to work several more bench players into the roation.

Then you missed a great comeback on a 25-4 run.

Crazy. Shocking.

Edit: for the record it’s not so much a bandwagon thing as it is a “sick and bored of the one and done era” thing.

The greatest streak in sports continues: Clemson has come to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, to play men's college basketball 59 times and 59 times they've gone home with a loss.

Honestly it truly is an amazing and incredible streak. I kind of root for it to continue. Although I think there used to be a poster on DBR who was a Clemson fan who vowed to streak across the UNC campus if Clemson were to ever pull it off. Haven’t been on that board in years though.

It shocks me Clemson was able to put together a football program recently, because Clemson sucks

Zion to Duke. Given his need to develop his perimeter game, can’t blame the choice.

Once Tony Bradley got a first round grade and decided to leave, that's how it was going to be. Luke has been a godsend with his shooting, but he doesn't have the size for your regular four man, and the pupu platter at the five is what it is.

It's a team that can and has beaten several good teams when they make shots and can and has lost to others when they don't.

Yuuuuuuuuge game this weekend between the two teams that are the two headline and best teams in the ACC and both ranked in the top 5 nationally.

Should be an epic battle between Duke and Virginia.

Still hoping to find some tix. Agreed about the ND game comparison from 2015 - and that was a ridiculous environment. Moving back up to MA this spring so one of the last chances I'll have to attend a big game here

I am completely against Virginia long term like always (at some point you will have to be able to out-score or out-athlete a team too in March/April, which they always get exposed at eventually) and think Duke will win comfortably.

You're also looking at a small sample size as Virginia is just getting consistent making the dance. Along with a few of those years being subject to having some major injuries occur just before tournament in the last three when they should have made more noise. Justin Anderson, Anthony Gill, and Isaiah Wilkins. I'm not one to make excuses but those injuries hurt a team with little skilled depth. This year we have some depth and more offensive skills. Young but they are a different team.

I'm so happy that Saturday's Duke-Virg game isn't in the middle of the night. Not that I'm not used to taping the games at 2am and watching it with my cereal the next morning under blackout conditions for all internet connections, but once in awhile you want that old-fashioned marquee game to be live.

It fell perfectly for me. I am scheduled off Saturday and just found out my kids basketball games are at 10 and 11 am and not the usual 1pm which would have been tough to make tip off. Also found out I have a Dixie youth baseball coaches meeting at 1230. Originally I thought the uva game was at 1pm along with my daughter's game. Nice to find out I can make them all.

UVa never wins games like this. Amazing. They should be #1 after going into Cameron and pulling that off. Junior Burrough was leading the Hoos last time they won there.

What a game. Was pulling for Duke of course, but so glad I decided to stay home and watch that today. A great comeback for Duke, and missed FTs and turnover at end (3/4 by Carter) cost them their shot. Still, can't wait for any potential rematch in the ACC tourney. Wow

Completely agree. No way 'nova should be up there, I suspect either of these teams would take it to them. Although, who knows if Duke could actually defend Brunson at all.

This is a fairly young team for Virginia. I know duke is young but they have a lot more talent on offense. The difference in this uva team is the fact our young guards have ice in their veins. Ty knocking that 3 down isn't something uva would normally do. This is a special squad. I told my uva family that this is Bennett's most talented roster across the board. They scoffed at me. I expected to see this type of play next year. It doesn't bother me they're developing a little quicker
