Could you guys have found a better way to describe the player's behavior here, without the misogyny?
To be clear: I was using the term 100% to mock online haters who reflexively use misogynistic and/or homophobic terms like that to insult players they don’t like. You’ll have to ask El Uno why he ran with it.

(While you’re at it, you could also ask El Uno why he feels comfortable neatly dividing people he doesn’t know into “classes” of human being where the “class A” people happen to be light-skinned guys from privileged backgrounds while the “baby a-holes” happen to be dark-skinned guys raised by single mothers in extreme poverty.)

You're right and I shouldn't have said "you guys" as it's clear what you were doing there - I only saw your part of it quoted and didn't really catch the full context or the author.

No excuse for El Uno though.

Cant speak for anyone else but you conveniently ignore the specifics of the situation. How many times have Curry and Klay intentionally kicked a grown ass man in the nuts? How many times have they created fake Twitter accounts to defend themselves from online randos?

Yeah, I tend to ignore a lot, deliberately, when it comes to dividing people I've never met (and heck, even people I have met) into "classes" of people. I don't have nearly enough info to judge their character. For all I know both Steph and Klay hate puppies (though Klay does seem to be very sweet to Rocco....)

Anyway, I'm not accusing El Uno of being racist — more just highlighting what shaky footing you're on when you start in on judging the hearts of people you don't know.

If I can’t call LeBron a little bitch 10,000 times during the post season I’m going to be in trouble.

This isn’t cool. Uno has the right to dislike NBA players (that coincidentally you are a fan of) and was giving real evidence for why he didn’t like them (any unbiased person can listen to that 3 hour podcast with Simmons and think Durant comes off as unlikeable) without having someone immediately slam down the race card. That’s weak.

Meh, there’s a difference between saying you found someone unlikable in an interview (an interview you took three hours of your time to listen to) and calling them a “bitch” or a “baby a-hole” while drawing a moral contrast between them and a real “class A” person.

And yeah, you should be careful about drawing that kind of moral contrast when you’re comparing people whose lives were guaranteed to be easy and comfortable from day one with people who grew up seeing friends and family shot and sent to jail, and who had to fight every day to avoid suffering the same fate.

And yeah, it’s not “coincidental” that I’m defending Green or Durant as a Warrior fan — nor is it coincidental that El Uno is attacking them as a Warrior hater. The difference is that I’m not attacking or hating on people I don’t know.

Haha, okay. I’ll stop ranting now. Dammit, why weren’t there any games on tonight other than that deathly boring U of M / Villanova game??

Curry, Iguodala and Livingston out for tonight's tilt in OKC.

So for anyone who hasn't been watching the Ws much lately, tonight you'll get see to a whole lot of "Quinn-sanity," plus a thrilling 10-15 minutes of Point KD (the de facto fifth-string PG, along with Draymond).

Figured I'd post here in case you guys don't check the other forum very often. I'm selling two tickets to the C's/Bulls Friday night game. It's in the ticket swap forum. $350.00 face value for the pair. Text/call me at 508-272-0134 if you want them. Greg

Who are they resting? LeBron and Love are playing, Tristan is back, Korver returned, along with Hood and Nance.
Beats me, I was taking LondonSox's word for it.

I myself was watching the handling styles of Al Horford, Point Guard, working the ball up the court by backing into his defender as if he was on the block at midcourt.

Nerlens is Larry Sanders II, isn't he?
Sanders actually developed into an impact front court player until he didn't feel like playing anymore. I never did understand all the love Noel got around here. He is like a young Amir before Amir was a passable NBA player.

Cavs we're saying korver was doubtful and love may miss game too. Hence earlier conversation. But they played so eh.
Raptors look lead footed tbh.

Meanwhile, sixers blow out the nets without Joel or saric again.
Fultz with a number of flashes, he can play d, pass and get to the rim so easily. He even hit a long step back 2 today. But no interest in a 3 yet.

In garbage time (which was long again as no starter played over 28- back to back night 1 so that's nice) Fultz made a brutal lineup kind of fun (Fultz, TJ, Anderson, Korkmaz and Holmes).

Sixers break their 9 game 30 assist streak with only 28 today.
But did keep the win streak up (at 11) and 9 straight by double digits (average 16.6 and it hasn't been that close)
Schedule has been easy but phew

We continue to see this year after year especially later in the season. The shorthanded teams are more focused and play harder while their opponent overlooks them and plays flat. We're seeing it with the Celtics, Sixers, and Warriors tonight.

Toronto preparing for their annual early spring visit to the vomitorium.
I discussed this last week. The Raptors have nobody to check LeBron, who can do anything and get wherever he wants against guys like Siakam and Anunoby. It places Toronto in a really tough spot in this matchup especially in the 4th quarters......and it doesn't get any easier in the playoffs.

Recency bias alert, but I'm thinking the team with best chance of taking down the LeBrons is probably Philly.

The Cs are looking too banged up, and Toronto is looking too Toronto.

The Sixers could be too young, but I can at least see a scenario where the Cavs are overwhelmed by them physically. The Sixers are bigger, younger and more athletic, and their best player (Embiid) plays the position where the Cavs are weakest. 6’-8" Tristan Thompson was wrecked inside in the finals last year by Zaza Pachulia (and KD). What’s Embiid gonna do to him?

LeBron’s D has been crap all season, and he may be an age where he can’t just turn it on anymore (age-related decline for wings tends to happen first on the defensive end — ask Jordan, Andre, Melo et al.) The Sixers could potentially render Love unplayable defensively, and then you’re looking at 33 y.o. LeBron and a bunch of untested guys going up a young, long, hungry beast.

Yeah, some wishful thinking in there, but I don't think it's an absurd stretch give a realistic shot to the team with better coaching, better size, younger legs, vastly better defense, and a much better net rating.

No Curry, no Iguodala, no Livingston, no Casspi, no Looney, no McCaw for GS in OKC. Quinn Cook the only available PG, with Draymond and KD backing him up.

OKC playing for their playoff lives, GS playing for pride.

Russ shot the ball like KD (15-26) while KD shot the ball like Russ (9-25). Durant and Thompson combined 4-17 from 3.

OKC owned the glass, 58-40.

Warriors win, 111-107. Go figure.

OKC had a 22-6 edge on offensive glass too.

Anthony and George combined 9-35 shooting while Warriors bench shot 18-26. The Warriors backup 4/5's West, Jones and JaVale combined 12-12.

One teams complementary players put the ball in the basket while the other teams did not.

More sarcasm from MaMo towards the refs tonight.

https://celticswire.usatoday.com/20...us-morris-apologizes-to-nba-refs-via-twitter/

I did mention on the game thread that the Refs were offering some payback towards MaMo for his butt slap.
BUT not really a clever move, heading into the playoffs, to be messing around with the zebras. They seem pretty intent on exerting their influence.
I don't know, I think that's pretty hysterical. I don't have a problem with people calling out NBA officials for what they are, which is terrible.

I think it is absolutely amazing the Utah Jazz could end up with home court.
Quin Snyder has really elevated himself into a keeper as a Head Coach in this league up from a potential retread candidate after the legendary "Kevin Ollie-style" dismissal at Missouri pretty much guaranteed him of never receiving another college job offer.

I suppose they're the 3-time defending conference champions, but right now you can bet $10 to win $27 if you want to wager on Cleveland winning the east. If you think that's as sure a lock as you put it, that's easy money. But you can get roughly 2:1 odds in your favor for either Toronto or Boston, too.

Sixers end the Pistons hope of sneaking into the playoffs.
30 assists again, 12 straight, again without saric and embiid
Big game Friday to help sort out 3/4 seed. Pacers two back now.

2 years ago the sixers won 10 games they have to win 2 games to hit 50 this year. Bonkers

Pistons got hot and desperate late and ended the double digits win streak

I think the craziest thing about the rebuild is that they straight up whiffed on two of the top lottery picks; and they are still on track.

The Spurs may really miss the playoffs after losing to the Lakers tonight. Next weeks game vs the Pelicans looks to be huge.

The West #3-10 seeds are a complete clusterfvck with 3-4 games left:

3. POR 48-30
4. UTA 45-33
5. SAS 45-34
6. OKC 45-34
7. MIN 44-34
8. NOP 44-34
9. DEN 43-35
10. LAC 42-36

Only Portland's seed seems semi-safe — till you look at their remaining schedule and see: @HOU, @SA, @DEN, UTA. And Lillard is out tonight @ HOU (and possibly beyond) with an ankle injury.

No one has the slightest clue who they're facing in the first round right now — everyone has 7 or 8 possible opponents. As a Ws fan, I'm not even sure what I'm rooting for, other than to avoid Utah (the clear third-best team in the West right now, imho) in the first round.

They're season has surprised me the most. My Nuggets need to stop helping them out through trades (Gobert and Mitchell).
Too bad you can't just merge and call yourselves the Mountain Zone Monsters or something. You could totally wreck the NBA in the coming years. Mitchell-Harris-Murray-Ingles-Jokic-Gobert, anyone?

Bad shot by Washington; terrible defense to let LeBron shoot that open three and then a terrible foul on the offensive rebound.

Epic collapse by the Wizards on both ends, which I have enjoyed immensely regardless of playoff implications.

Wall with just a losing basketball play. Totally panicked; didn’t need to take the shot and laid a brick.
