Duckboats.
Otherwise, this team becomes the 1906 Cubs, 1954 Indians, 2001 Mariners, and the 1969 Orioles: great teams, historically so, that didn't win the World Series. Not winning the World Series doesn't diminish the accomplishments of the season, but if they win the World Series, they will have completely earned it. The A's/Yankees are both good teams, and the Astros historically good, though the record doesn't reflect it.
This is the dream season, the season that happens once in a generation, or even once in a lifetime for a team. We thought the Red Sox would be good, but not 108-54 good. The only appropriate conclusion is duckboats. Anything less than that is a disappointment, but we'll all get over it. This team has the potential to be even better than the 2002-2011 mini-dynasty, and is already better in subtle ways.
