FTFYLuck has done this before: look great heading into the playoffs and game 1 of the post-season so that everyone declares He's Arrived and then he craps the bed, because he can't play outside in January.
In 2012 (really, 2013), he played his first playoff game at Baltimore, lost 23-9, because he can't play outside in January
In 2013 he had the comeback against KC followed by a 4 INT blowout loss to NE because he can't play outside in January.
In 2014 he had a great game against CIN, a decent game against DEN, then a 23 rating against NE because he can't play outside in January.
Sure, but why put your corners in that position when you're stacking the box? Prescott can't make the throw anyway so just keep it in front of you and eliminate the big play potential (which frankly they didn't, but I digress). If they didn't fear him, shouldn't they have been closer?
From the fans I've asked here it is about 60% against against the Chiefs, 30-35 % for and the other percent not sure. If the Eagles hadn't already won a Super Bowl????? Forget it. Overwhelmingly against. What gets me is that in 99 a huge majority cheered for Dick Vermeil and the Rams to win that Super Bowl. The Eagles were beaten badly in 3 quarters by the Raiders in the 80 season with Vermeil as coach and nobody ever blamed his responsibility for that loss. I'm not anti-Eagles or Philly. If you've seen my other posts I have said that the Eagles fan base is one of the most loyal in all of pro sports, whether they're good or bad. 13-3 or 3-13 they are always there. This Eagles fan would root hard for Andy Reid if he makes it to the Super Bowl.
As an aside, can someone tell me what happened to Andrew Luck between the wildcard round and yesterday? He looked absolutely dreadful - and powerless - out there.
Just busting your balls! Had to break the pregame tension.Seriously coop?
I always pull for Cal guys and mention it here: Jaylen Brown, Goff, Aaron Rodgers (or is he still saying Butte College) even though I didn’t go there. One of my kids did though. I like Stanford guys too which I probably wouldn’t if I did go to Cal.Ok my bad. I feel like I have a million flaws as a poster but that doesn’t happen to be one of them. As you were!
On my end my objection is to the media being so quick to anoint Luck as a Top 2-3 QB every time he has a good playoff game. Or why I heard him talked about as an MVP candidate this year even though he had a worse record and the same stats or worse than, say, Rivers and Brady. As for Nick Foles, he played great in the Super Bowl and everyone wanted to bench him.Luck took a Colts team that was rebuilding to the divisional round. He's played in quite a number of playoff games and won a few of them. I don't understand why people are just so quick to besmirch other players for no reason, other than partisan hackery. So he's not a top 5 guy. Is he Top 7? Is that enough? Yes.
Luck could definitely win a super bowl. It's ridiculous to state otherwise. Nick Foles won the Super Bowl last year, in fact.
Think you have a typo there. From my in stadium viewpoint at the Colliseum yesterday (which probably isn’t as valid as yours since a.) you see stuff better onTV and b.) you’re smarter than me...
1.). So they had a tremendous performance against what was thought to be a very strong defense, but I can’t put the Rams offense in the same category as the Saints or Rams yet. At least yesterday, Goff struck me as “fine” made the throws to open midrange receivers when he had the time, but not much down field and didn’t throw great when he had pressure.
2.). That run game though. Anderson showed great patience, decision making, and burst. And makes Gurley fresher. Impressive.
3.) Not sure if it was because of the effort put into take away Zeke (highly effective) or not, but the Rams pass D was ass. And I think Brees would feast on them. Cowboys had open men every play, and Dak found a lot of them.
4.) Why don’t the Cowboys ever throw to Elliot? As I recall he’s got totally decent hands.
5.) Colisseum was easily 1/3 Cowboy fans, maybe more. Not sure if back in the Rams last run in LA the building was more Rams-partisan but this wasn’t a great showing by Rams fans. Though in their defense, it was kind of cloudy.
My comment wasn’t about Colts hatred, it was about Luck short-arming pass after pass in a way that I have never seen before. (And was completely at odds with what I saw last week.)Luck took a Colts team that was rebuilding to the divisional round. He's played in quite a number of playoff games and won a few of them. I don't understand why people are just so quick to besmirch other players for no reason, other than partisan hackery. So he's not a top 5 guy. Is he Top 7? Is that enough? Yes.

It’s not a typo, it’s me being a moron! Fixed...ChiefsThink you have a typo there.
YupI fully expect the Eagles, who have no business being in this game, to win. Nick Foles is magic.
Exactly. Foles just seems to have IT,#tradewentz
a huge schlongExactly. Foles just seems to have IT,
Whatever “it” is.
A large phallus.Exactly. Foles just seems to have IT,

Those two dbs looked like they’d never seen a football beforeNO defender gave up on it. What the hell is going on out there?
I’ve come around to the view that if Foles keeps playing well, they’ll be able to trade him and get a king’s ransom. (Although they would need Foles’ cooperation to do this because of the nature of the option.)If you're the Eagles, and Foles gets them to another SB, do you entertain trading Wentz away? I know Foles actually is not good, but ...
I think this is true.Wentz was likely to get the MVP before he was hurt last year. You should be able to get a decent return if you trade the guy assume he returns to full health.
Whatever it is, Foles and the Eagles are a good match.
If we can get what Dallas got for Herschel Walker then yeah. If not, then let’s give the 2 headed monster another year if possible. If you're the Eagles, and Foles gets them to another SB, do you entertain trading Wentz away? I know Foles actually is not good, but ...
Yeah, you can’t keep Foles over WentzIve come around to the view that if Foles keeps playing well, they’ll be able to trade him and get a king’s ransom. (And that’s what I’d do.)
