He apparently has a knee issue that scared teams off.Is it worth trading up for Jawaan Taylor if AZ is really going CB? I don't know a ton about the OL prospects this draft, but I thought he was ranked in the top ~15 prospects by most.
Got it, we agree then. I don't think he's going tonight either and if he gets an indication he's getting selected, its possible my oldest will know ahead of time.Look to you and everyone else who quoted my post I was exaggerating. Just reacting to seeing him mocked to the Pats at 64. I agree he is worth of a day 3 draft pick. But seeing him at 64 seemed like a joke to me.
All depends on what's available.Question for the room...
Given the selection of Harry, a beefy and versatile WR, does that mean...
1.) The WR double dip need not occur until Day 3, and/or
2.) The emphasis on the first TE drafted should be blocking moreso than "move TE" skills?
That's a very BB answer. Say I put the words "All things being equal" in there. All depends on what's available.
I'd be happy with either of these.CBS has Winovich at 56 and Blake Cashman LB Minnesota at 64; SI has Winovich at 56 and Lonnie Johnson CB Kentucky at 64
As you note, both Berrios and Switzer returned punts in college and both tested way better than Renfrow. Switzer was far more productive in college. Renfrow was more productive than Berrios overall, but Berrios' numbers were better in his final season than anything Renfrow did. I don't see anything to suggest Renfrow should be higher than a mid-late day three guy.Did you think Barrios or Ryan Switzer shouldn’t have been drafted? Hunter is a better slot than either of those guys. Granted he doesn’t have the return game on his resume...but what he does, he does really well.
The Pats don't usually take a player strictly for need. They'll follow the board. If a WR and a TE are sitting there at 56 they'll take the higher graded player and address the other later. That's a very BB answer. Say I put the words "All things being equal" in there.
Thanks. So then 64 probably in the 9:15 range. Not that there is anything else to watch tonight - no Celts, no B's, NBA doesn't start till 10.Duke Dawson was picked at 56 last year around 8:40
It will be disappointing if they don’t in some form or fashion. Five picks over 2 rounds covering the next 70 players selected.I'd love to see them come out of the second with an OT and a defensive lineman, either inside or on the edge. It feels like those positions are getting kind of thin, especially in terms of guys that might plausibly help in 2019 (not as starters, but just as backups or rotational players that can give you a little something). In contrast, it seems like we'll be able to find an intriguing TE or WR, especially an inside type guy, in the 3rd or 4th round.
Yup, it seems like they're right where they want to be. Time to execute. It will be disappointing if they don’t in some form or fashion. Five picks over 2 rounds covering the next 70 players selected.
Reports yesterday were the Pats board of draftable players sat at about 100. Worse case scenario, there are 68 left, and you know not everyone drafted last night was on their board.
I know. Tick tick tick.Man, this day is CRAWLING... Let's get to the draft!
Renfrow's combine score is better than either. 5.50 v 5.35 Berrios and 5.23 Switzer.I'd be happy with either of these.

Two teams to watch tonight on Missouri QB Drew Lock are the Oakland Raiders and Miami Dolphins. If Lock were on the board at Miami’s turn, Dolphins could wind up choosing between the Missouri QB or involving that pick in a trade for Josh Rosen.
I don't know what Combine score is, but by Relative Athletic Score Berrios was 5.69 (5.00 is average), Switzer 4.84, and Renfrow 2.94.Renfrow's combine score is better than either. 5.50 v 5.35 Berrios and 5.23 Switzer.
I buy that.I think Hunter goes 4-6, probably between Switz (4/133) and Berrios (6/210).
The AFC is wide open!!!The Jags are having a hell of a draft.
For real. Two studsThe Jags are having a hell of a draft.
