I bet Bruins/Isles gets the 8 pm NBC treatment with a potential Toronto/Montreal game 6 and Carolina/Nashville Game 7 in the afternoon.Game 1 likely Sat with C's playing Sunday right? Can't imagine with Covid protocols between the leagues they would allow both to play Sunday.
Hopefully they don't make the Bruins wait until MondayGame 1 likely Sat with C's playing Sunday right? Can't imagine with Covid protocols between the leagues they would allow both to play Sunday.
I'm assuming that the league wants weekend hockey and there is a pretty good chance that Toronto and Carolina close it out today so I'm going to guess that they Bruins play Saturday.Hopefully they don't make the Bruins wait until Monday
Tony, thank you very much, but I am out.Islanders it is!
I'll PM you guys above, thanks!
Don't get historically laughable goaltending and you'll be fine. The teams probably know what the options are by now.
FWIW, Dom's model has the Bruins as a massive favorite here. 76%.

Monday is fooooooooooorrrever. Please be Saturday (and Monday). No official word, but B's are planning for a Saturday game. If not Saturday, it'll be Monday.
If Saturday, I need to find a babysitter! No official word, but B's are planning for a Saturday game. If not Saturday, it'll be Monday.
Like... all of em? That means there is zero chance of a Saturday gameFrom my friend who works for NESN "won't know until the other series are decided"
I asked that but haven't heard back. Hoping it just means East.Like... all of em? That means there is zero chance of a Saturday game
Tonight, probably. I'm guessing if Nashville wins, the Carolina/Nashville game 7 will be Saturday night on NBC and the Bruins won't play until Monday. If Carolina wins, then the series is over and I would think the Bruins get that time slot. Vegas/Minny game 7 is tomorrow night. I don't think Toronto/Montreal will impact them in any way.Like... all of em? That means there is zero chance of a Saturday game
Even if Carolina wins, seems like it would be tough to tell the Isles at like 11pm tonight that they need to be in Boston Saturday for game 1. I don't see how the B's play till Sunday or MondayTonight, probably. II'm sure the Islanders know the scenarios and will plan accordingly.Even if Carolina wins, seems like it would be tough to tell the Isles at like 11pm tonight that they need to be in Boston Saturday for game 1. I don't see how the B's play till Sunday or Monday
And the Celtics have the building for their going away party on Sunday.Even if Carolina wins, seems like it would be tough to tell the Isles at like 11pm tonight that they need to be in Boston Saturday for game 1. I don't see how the B's play till Sunday or Monday
How does Craig Smith get to be the 5th Bruin in that tweet?Officially 8:00 pm Saturday night...full house. Get good and lubed up as Brady would say.

Recency bias; OT wraparound, I’m guessing. How does Craig Smith get to be the 5th Bruin in that tweet?
Full preview is out. It is actually 79.9%-20.1% in favor of the Bruins. The teams probably know what the options are by now.

Similar to Washington, it should be noted that the Islanders always seem to outperform his model.
I'm going to run through a fucking wall! The quality of the writing and analysis in The Athletic is really fucking incredible.
If the Bruins’ best players play like they’re elite, it’s tough to see the Islanders winning this series, and the Bs have a shot against anyone. The best line in hockey, one of the best lines in hockey down the stretch, one of the best top pairs, and a goalie whose series long floor is league average, and whose ceiling is Vezina.
This team is a fucking wagon since the deadline.
dom articulates and makes the statistical case for what is happening in my head. The bruins and islanders play similar games but the bruins are just more talented. This one doesn’t feel that close to me. Past performance isn’t a guarantee of future performance but I think if both teams play their best, the bruins win in 6 or less. The quality of the writing and analysis in The Athletic is really fucking incredible.

The inconsistency of playoff officiating was on ample display during that series. The one thing I worry about is the Bruins inability to stay out of the penalty box. They were on the kill way, way too much in the Capitals series and luckily it did not come back to bite them in the ass. Stay out of the box.
Oh agreed. But they also took some bad penalties as well. Just don’t want Barzal and co. to be in position to steal a game on the PP.The inconsistency of playoff officiating was on ample display during that series.
“You can kill a guy with a trident,” and “But you can’t skate in front of somebody else while you’re both moving in the same direction,” just can’t be the bookends for any sport that wants to be taken seriously. It was a complete joke. Call the rule book. That’s it.
I also feel like the caps historically, at least against the bruins, are one of the teams that always gets the benefits of calls.Oh agreed. But they also took some bad penalties as well. Just don’t want Barzal and co. to be in position to steal a game on the PP.
I can understand an official missing a call everyone now and then. I can even accept them calling a penalty when the replay eventually shows that the player that drew the penalty likely tripped over the blue line. That interference call against Marchand when there wasn't even contact was a fireable offense, IMO. There was nothing to call, period. The inconsistency of playoff officiating was on ample display during that series.

Yeah. Sorry, I wasn’t disagreeing with you. Just expanding upon your correct point. The high stick infractions especially need to go.Oh agreed. But they also took some bad penalties as well. Just don’t want Barzal and co. to be in position to steal a game on the PP.
Don't forget Tampa Bay!I also feel like the caps historically, at least against the bruins, are one of the teams that always gets the benefits of calls.
