For some, that seems to be the answer to a lot of things.Fire Cora?
Still think based on the last two weeks the starting pitchers should quarantine between starts.Oh man this one stings. I think he's been vaccinated and already had covid. I mean...what are you gonna do?
They're already down a starter with Pivetta out. Who's the #4? Peacock? Seabold? Richards? They have a lot of days off coming up: 9/15, 9/19, 9/22, 9/26. Would have to think at least a 4 man rotation is in the cards.
Crawford is scheduled tonight for Worcester. We’ll know soon if he’s scratched. They're already down a starter with Pivetta out. Who's the #4? Peacock? Seabold? Richards?
Pivetta did test positive. He won't be back before mid-week next week at the earliest. There's a chance Pivetta is back soon, right? He never tested positive as far as I heard.
I would try Seabold myself for starting
Bah. Still, Pete Abe thinks he can be back soon?Pivetta did test positive. He won't be back before mid-week next week at the earliest.

Depends if he was vaxxed. So Sale has to stay in Chicago for 10 days now?
Better than Oakland or Cincy or Phoenix or Cleveland or St LouisSo Sale has to stay in Chicago for 10 days now?
What difference does it make if you can't leave your hotel room? A view?Better than Oakland or Cincy or Phoenix or Cleveland or St Louis
Apparently he wasn't on the team flight to Chicago, so he may be at home for the next 10 days. Small silver lining for him, I guess. So Sale has to stay in Chicago for 10 days now?
They do throw from the bullpen mound with coaches watching working on things that didn't go well between starts. And on any new pitches they are trying to perfect enough to throw in games. Also any physical issues with the training staff.Someone in some thread (could have been this one) addressed it earlier and it's worthy of repeating:
Why starting pitchers aren't being "bubbled" is beyond me. They serve no purpose on days they aren't pitching, and the risk isn't worth it.
Christian Arroyo has dropped off the face of the earth it seems. He may be seriously ill.Where are Perez, Barnes and Sawamura? The former two it's been 12 days; the latter 11.

Fair enough. They do throw from the bullpen mound with coaches watching working on things that didn't go well between starts. And on any new pitches they are trying to perfect enough to throw in games. Also any physical issues with the training staff.
They also do their daily conditioning runs and are in the weight room in addition to their regular bullpen sessions. Starters have a set routine they follow each day between starts that require them at the ballpark. They do throw from the bullpen mound with coaches watching working on things that didn't go well between starts. Anyone who thinks a post like this outside V&N won't result in a suspension or worse is sorely mistaken. There are some close calls, but anyone posting this kind of thing is either being intentionally obtuse or looking to be a martyr. We have been more than clear about this policy and it's not up for debate.I blame Trump
If covid is going to continue to be an issue beyond this season, it's going to require teams to rethink how they do things ... at least to minimize exposure for starting pitchers. Many of the things you and Abs brought up don't require them to be around the entire team and staff for the entirety of game day. If you don't want Chris Sale to miss time, for instance, there's no reason to have him crammed in a dugout or clubhouse on days he doesn't pitch ... after he gets his off day workouts and treatmentsThey also do their daily conditioning runs and are in the weight room in addition to their regular bullpen sessions. Hey hey hey...Better than Oakland or Cincy or Phoenix or Cleveland or St Louis
I get what you are saying about teams having to become more creative, but I just don't think they are going to 100% bubble down players unless they are on board with it. What should be happening is the continuation of the longer dugouts and like you say stagger times for players to get their work in so the facilities aren't too crowded. If covid is going to continue to be an issue beyond this season, it's going to require teams to rethink how they do things ... at least to minimize exposure for starting pitchers. Keekay looked out-of-synch in his first game back, then seemed to get back into the rhythm of things. Of course, that's an everyday player. Pitchers are on their own body clocksWonder how fast it takes these guys to get back into game shape having been quarantined? Pro athletes of course, but baseball is so much timing.
Barnes and Sawamura are throwing bullpens today and then re-assessing. Would think that relievers don't need much to get back into rhythm, or at least can do most of the work to be ready off the field. Martin Perez is in Worcester on a rehab assignment and expected to pitch on Sunday after throwing a bullpen today. All three went down about the same time so presumably the schedule would be roughly the same. I just don't know why Perez went to Worcester but the others didn't, unless they feel he needs more game work as a multi-inning guy?Wonder how fast it takes these guys to get back into game shape having been quarantined? I think that's describing Arroyo's situation. He's not yet doing any baseball activities whereas the pitchers are all throwing at the very least. What exactly does “baseball stuff, nothing yet “even mean
