Thank you, you’re classy, I’ll remember thatCongratulations?
It does. The competition and overall intrigue of the division and conference will suffer, and it sucks to see anyone, but especially the greats, get injured.LOL
They probably bring in someone like 2 gloves. Who else is available? We play Dallas next week, we’re in a world of shit unless we just hash them running.
BTW, the oline was bad but Rodgers didn’t need to hold the ball that long. The ball was supposed to come out. Fucking blows
Teddy's on Detroit.LOL

Last time either finished their division in first?
I think they need to to back up at a minimum. Boyle sucks, he is a knows the offense guy to help install. It does. The competition and overall intrigue of the division and conference will suffer, and it sucks to see anyone, but especially the greats, get injured.
You really think they'll bring in a vet off the street?
Matt Ryan or Wentz.I think they need to to back up at a minimum. Boyle sucks, he is a knows the offense guy to help install.

That Achilles was probably a ticking time bomb, sadly.LOL

And he looked toasted last year. Maybe you can get a guy like Mariota or Minshew in a trade. The pickings are slim.Matt Ryan seems like the only real option for a guy you hope to start.
I blame the huge heel turn he did last seasonThat Achilles was probably a ticking time bomb, sadly.
Yeah, and? This isn’t a night for math. I poke fun at the Jets as much as the next guy but they fucking *** competed *** after AR went down. They played like their hair was on fire. Good on them.Fun for Jets fans but both of these teams looked shaky. First game, Rodgers, etc. all reasonable justifications of course. But I think they both looked beatable, or at least not stratospheres above the Pats.
His career is definitely in jeopardy now.I blame the huge heel turn he did last season
Dark times ahead. His career is definitely in jeopardy now.
Saleh gets them to play hard, no doubt. But I don't see them getting to (let alone sustaining) a championship level without Rodgers. It will likely look like last year. Some great, some misadventures. And that's assuming Wilson can stay healthy.Yeah, and? This isn’t a night for math. I bet Rodgers thought his public statements immunized him from such characterizations.I blame the huge heel turn he did last season

Starting to get nervous now. Luckily have a few things to keep me busy until kickoff.
Im ready for anything on the downside. My own death during the game, meteor or nuclear strike among other things; it’s all on the table. If 8 doesn’t tear his achilles or worse, this will be better than game 1 of the 99 season.
First posts I saw about the game this morning.if you manifest it, it is no dream
-Aaron Rodgers, State of NY, 2023
I agree and I get that. That’s for this morning, the analysis in the cold hard light of day. I was saying, let them have their celebration last night- they deserved it.Saleh gets them to play hard, no doubt. NFC West:KC, Bills, Chargers, and Cinncy are 0-1. All were playoff teams last year.
Nobody drew that up, that's for sure.
It seems like an impossibilityNFC West:
Las Vegas 1-0
Everyone else 0-1
Not sure anyone drew that up either.
Wait what? How long until Bills Mafia starts harrassing Hayley Steinfeld due to Allen's shitastic play?
Blaming an athlete's famous new girlfriend for said player's poor recent performance is sadly a sports fandom staple.Wait what?
Yeah, the “swelling” thing is just an excuse for when you don‘t have an MRI. And for an Achilles, the MRI is really just confirming what they already know - you can almost always make the call based on physical examination aloneI would assume if they really wanted to they could send him someplace with one nearby, but also.... why would it matter not much you're gonna do anyway. Something broken you can throw a cast on it, if you have an achilles tear or an ACL tear or something, they're not doing anything until you have surgery anyway.
You were saying?More importantly, he wouldn’t be walking at all with a torn Achilles.
TV just said X-rays negative.
Did not know. That's a major weather shock going from SFV to Buffalo (and vise versa)Blaming an athlete's famous new girlfriend

177 yards on 27 completions is astonishingly bad. I find it very easy to believe they didn't move the ball based on that. The worst QB of 2022 in terms of yards/completion was Kyler Murray with 9.1. Wilson had 6.5 that game.I didn't see their game this week, but was Russell Wilson good?
27-34 (79.4%), 177 yds, 5.2 y/a, 2 td, 0 int, 108.0 rating
But they only scored 16 points against an iffy Raider defense. They only had 3 second half possessions. In those 3 possessions:
- 12 plays, 28 yards, 5:24, missed FG
- 12 plays, 46 yards (talk about grinding it out), 6:03, FG
- 3 plays, 7 yards, 1:21, punt
So 27 plays, 81 yards, 3.0 yds/play, one FG, one missed FG, one punt.
Hard to believe a guy who completed basically 80% of his passes, with zero turnovers, could lead such an anemic offense.

Yeah some people are shitting on Mac's yards per attempt (5.9), which was solidly better than Wilson's (5.2). Still a relatively nice start for Wilson, considering how he played last year.177 yards on 27 completions is astonishingly bad. I find it very easy to believe they didn't move the ball based on that. Right but I didn't see the game and have no idea if he was under heavy pressure, or if the game plan just called for a ton of short passes, or what. Just going by yards per attempt doesn't really tell the whole story. Which is why I'm asking.177 yards on 27 completions is astonishingly bad. I didn't watch the game either, but I don't think it makes a difference if it was by design or precipitated by bad protection, when your completions, not attempts, your completions go for 6.5 yards a pop, that's a sign you're struggling to move the ball.Right but I didn't see the game and have no idea if he was under heavy pressure, or if the game plan just called for a ton of short passes, or what. He didn't play great, he didn't play bad, it just was. The distinction I'd made between his day and Mac's was that Mac was finding guys in open space, so while he wasn't throwing downfield that much, he was giving guys a chance to make a catch and run. Wilson didn't throw it deep and most of the guys he hit were tackled immediately. In addition, Mac was going against one of the best defenses in football, while Wilson was going against the Raiders.Right but I didn't see the game and have no idea if he was under heavy pressure, or if the game plan just called for a ton of short passes, or what. Clearly they were struggling to move the ball, but that may not have been Wilson's fault. Maybe he was running for his life all game and it's a miracle he was able to complete nearly 80% of his passes, even if they weren't for many yards. Obviously the offense as a whole totally sucked. I'm asking particularly about Wilson's performance.I didn't watch the game either, but I don't think it makes a difference if it was by design or precipitated by bad protection, when your completions, not attempts, your completions go for 6.5 yards a pop, that's a sign you're struggling to move the ball.
Also, this is something I've wanted to bring up since the whole Mac YPA discussion yesterday: no offensive system bakes in a low YPA. You may have lower intended air yards per attempt, lower average depth of target, but generally those plays are designed to put people in space and generate YAC, which elevates YPA. Low YPA is never achieved by design, it's a measure of how efficient your passing game is and no one wants low efficiency as a principle.
I mean, you asked how a guy with 80% completions and no picks could lead an anemic offense, so that to me sounded like a reason right off the bat. That's all. EPA/Play and QBR rated his performance highly, PFF had him middle of the pack.Clearly they were struggling to move the ball, but that may not have been Wilson's fault.
