It's the sport that has long been the worst served by the TV coverage of its postseason though, John Smoltz, Harold Reynolds, late era Tim McCarver, etc. This wasn't true way back in the day and watching playoff baseball on TV was indeed peak sports awesome, now it's often awesome with a constant undercurrent of irritation at its presentation, heh. Especially if it's the team you've followed all year, it is really frustrating how uninformed and often flat-out wrong the announcers generally are (David Cone current major exception, he is consistently fantastic, also I really like Ryan Rowland-Smith for SEA games).
Anyway my dream is three man booths of a play by play guy and one color guy from each of the two teams playing, so much more informed and also maybe good arguments sometimes, multiple informed perspectives, maybe even a little trash-talking.
But yes my DVR is set for four games a day, I think I am rooting for ATL over BAL, sub-90 win teams shouldn't be playoff eligible IMO (and conversely all 90 win teams should get in, a cut line like in golf) which leaves very few options this year.
