    How do off days factor in? It's a 10 game suspension, not 10 days.  Granted 10 games just means he misses 1 start and the next is pushed back one additional game.  I don't think off days matter other than ability to move other pitchers around to accommodate.

    It would be great but Cooney seems to be so streaky, I'm not sure they're ever going to put it all together for any appreciable stretch of games.  Also they have that tendency to play to the level of their competition.  Makes for some exciting games, but I'm not sure how long they can keep it...

      Well, I think you could say possession is lost but may be regained in conformance with the previous possession if recovered by the fumbling team. Not that big of a tweak, IMO.  You certainly can't reward the offense with a new set of downs on every recovered fumble.

    You are penalizing the team that lost it.  They don't get it back unless they recover it.  Other team gets rewarded by default (they likely caused the fumble).
