    Week 2 NFL Game Thread

Peyton is reasonably entertaining; Gronk is hilarious; Eli is the superfluous younger brother. The idea is pretty cool, but ditch the crappy Zoom video, focus on quality audio, and we might have something.

The Game Goat Thread: AFCCG @ Broncos

I wonder if a bunch of those low throws were deliberate, (and appropriately so.) I like to think that Brady was just protecting the ball, doing the wise thing, etc. Or maybe I'm just whistling past the graveyard.

    #DFG: Canceling the Noise

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, painfully, throughout this whole stupid, insulting, infuriating ordeal, it’s that whenever I expect common sense to prevail, it won’t. Every single damn time. It’s sort of surreal.   At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Goodell increased Brady’s suspension...

    #DFG: Canceling the Noise

I have a bad feeling that Brady will serve the four game suspension. Throughout this whole ridiculous saga, every time that I've expected a just outcome, I've been wrong. The deck appears to be stacked against us. I don't think there's a deal between Kraft and Goodell regarding Brady. I predict...

    #DFG: Canceling the Noise

Thanks for this. You're right - Chatham nails it. (It will likely mean nothing, but at least there's another smart, sensible voice of reason out there.)

    #DFG: Canceling the Noise

Shared Yee's statement with a friend who's been writing about this. His response: "I like the lawyer's statement. But I'm afraid the takeaway will be that nowhere in the statement does he say, "Tom denies the charges," or anything like that. As an attack on the report's methodology, it's pretty...

Has it been a week? Feels like yesterday.

    So. Many. Diamonds.

(It was clear in one version of this amazing sequence that Brady actually says, "Malcolm! Are you fucking kidding me?" Bleeped out obviously.)

    So. Many. Diamonds.

Could be. Thought I saw #52 through the confetti.   (Edit: They talked about it on D&H - they said it was Casillas.)

    So. Many. Diamonds.

Another fun moment from the very end of the Turning Point episode: "Confetti Man! I am Confetti Man! I'm looking for my mom." (I think it's Casillas, who's unrecognizable wrapped up in piles of, yes, confetti.)

    So. Many. Diamonds.

Yeah, those are some of the best moments from the game. The post game stuff isn't there yet - maybe he'll add it.  (Edelman embracing BB, telling him "I'd do anything for you, Coach." Edelman telling Brady he's the greatest quarterback in the world...)   Edit: And here they come...

    So. Many. Diamonds.

Yeah, it just showed on Inside the NFL on Showtime, and it covered the whole game.   Edit: Damn, can't find a link. It's airing again at 11:00pm EST. It's unbelievable.

    So. Many. Diamonds.

NFL Films already has an awesome highlight film, which is being shown on Inside the NFL. Just watch it if you can. Lots of mic'd up players - fantastic, incredibly moving stuff.
