    4/6 B’s vs Panthers @ 3:30 EDT

Pasta is rapidly approaching McDavid/Ovechkin/Bure territory where you have to watch him because he may do crazy shit at any time.

I can’t believe Tkachuk is trying to argue that.

    23-24 Bruins Season Thread

Was looking at this last night. I want no part of even a weakened Tampa team in the playoffs. Rangers schedule is easier than ours the rest of the way, so I suspect we likely end up with Tampa, but it would be nice to catch a break if the Rangers stumble down the stretch.

NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament 2024 - Welcome to the Sweet Sixteen

I don’t know if I’d go quite that far. Duke fell behind 8-0 in the first 2 minutes and then out scored Houston 13-8 over the next 13 minutes of horrible basketball even with Shead in. It’s not to say he didn’t matter, because it’s obviously a different game with him playing, but Duke righted the...

NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament 2024 - Welcome to the Sweet Sixteen

A Duke victory over UConn would be especially sweet given the 25th anniversary of the 1999 final.

    Potential new NFL rules

Yes, the incentive is for kickers to not kick it into the end zone, and in doing so, returns are required by the receiving team. I suspect if it isn’t painful enough, the touchback will move to the 35 in subsequent seasons to further incentivize landing in the landing zone.

    Potential new NFL rules

So the way the rule is drafted, a kick that hits the end zone on the fly results in a touchback to the 30-yard line, while a kick bouncing in and being downed is a touchback to the 20. If you want to give teams a chance to have some fun with it, make a kick sailing through the uprights on the...

    Potential new NFL rules

I mean, I think the current kickoff really sucks. 78% of kicks were not returned last year. There were only 4 TDs, down from double digits for much of the 2000s. We spend 10 plays a game watching literally nothing happen for 10 seconds. I think this is great for keeping the play in the game...

NCAA Tournament 2nd Round Sunday Thread

If this Duke team is engaged, they’re a Final Four team. The whole problem has been drifting against weaker competition.
