Miami @ Cincy TNF.

I'll give you a topic: Miami wearing orange in Cincinnati gives them a psychological advantage and generally confuses the home field fans. Discuss.

Eh, I've done that more often than I care to admit.

Regarding TNF, I have a feeling Cinci will lay an egg tonight. Phins by a FG or less.
If the Bengals lose tonight to drop to 1-3, they can start planning for next season. Tonight's game is a major gut check for them.

That doesn't mean you're wrong, of course. But the Bengals have been good enough for long enough that I think they'll win at home against a middling opponent, in what's as close as you'll find to a must-win game this early in the season.

Yeah I agree with this. Cincy really needs this game tonight, no excuses. I think they come out and play well. Burfict's return energizes them.

If anyone wants to point me, via PM or in this thread, to a stream, it would be sincerely appreciated. Bummer that this isn't a Twitter game.

Landry will play but Miami is rolling out the MASH unit at OL and LB. Misi and Jenkins are likely sitting which means Miami's already sketchy LB play gets sketchier. Although I do think Hewitt is a bit more of a thumper against the run than Jenkins, so maybe that works in their favor.

Albert is doubtful at LT and Steen and Pouncey are both likely out which means Miami might start Tunsil at LT, have a backup at LG, and their third string center to start the game. I actually think Tunsil would hold his own. He's been really good in pass protection so far, it's the other moving pieces that concern me.

Dear lord this is going to be bad...

I'm all in favor of playing the best player, and Maxwell hasn't been good for 3 weeks, but Lippett looked BAD in the preseason. Unless he's made huge strides in practice, this could be ugly.

Tunsil to LT, Turner to LG, Urbik to C. Everyone say a prayer for Ryan Tannehill. He might need a kidney transplant after tonight.

Finally a team doesn't screw that up.
Either pooch or on sides never kick through from the 50

This offensive game plan is awful. Miami can't stop the run so of course CIN runs tons of WR screens.
That 3rd down.
Holy shit is this play calling terrible.

Please stop playing AJ Green in man coverage. Neither corner is remotely good enough to handle that.

Tannehill is so awful. he has zero pocket awareness at all. why even waste time trying to develop him any further? five years is enough to know he'll never be good enough to lead a perennial playoff team

Exactly why didn't Bengals sign Bennett? They drafted their so-called "mini-Eifert" in Tyler Kroft but there was no guarantee that Eifert would make it back in time after the ankle surgery (or be effective once he does).

do you think Gase finally just says to him "my goodness, you are fucking terrible. seriously, you are the worst fuking QB I have ever coached" and walks up to Stephen Ross and hands in his resignation?

AJ Green's dominance aside, I'm happy with Miami's defensive effort. The front 7, in particular, is being disruptive, hitting hard, and keeping the running game in check. But like we saw vs Seattle, Miami's 3-and-out offense isn't making things easy -- and the effects of that will most likely increase as the game goes on and the D' wears down.

Pretty ballsy move to give Lippett his 1st start vs. AJ Green.

Tanny's got to freakin' step up and prevent that strip sack. His 1st halves all season long have been God-awful.

No. I don't think he'll do that.

Who did Kenyan Drake piss off? I thought he showed some skill in his brief showing v. the Pats and last week he started out the game with three runs for 22 yards including a run where he pushed the pile for an extra 7 yards and the first down. Seems odd that he's essentially been buried since then.

He started last week, but only ended up with 7 carries. I'd love to see him showcased in the passing game more. I think his versatility is a lot harder to defend.

So how much does Tannehill need to be down by to play well? 3 scores or would 16 be enough?

Being a Dolphins fan and watching them year after year after year expecting a different outcome than the year before proves that Einstein was right.
