He's been pretty damn elite in his career. He's 7th in the league in points per 60 among all NHL players with 1000 TOI since the beginning of 2014. His first two years he was in and out of the lineup and Julien didn't give him much ice time so it didn't reflect in the traditional counting stats. He's getting ice time now and exploding.

The closest comp I can come up with for Pastrnak is Vladimir Tarasenko.

That comp will send me to bed with a smile.
