I got a kick out of Oshae initiating the offense, taking guys off the dribble and even trying out some pull-ups and fallaways. It’s a good reminder of how insanely good these guys are, even the “scrubs.”

I've abandoned any "big picture" level criticism of Joe Mazzulla as a coach. But I will say I wish he played the energy guys like Brissett a little more during this "doldrums" part of the season.

Also, and this is maybe too Machiavellian (but not by much): the Cs don't have Brissett's Bird Rights this summer. If he looks good in extended minutes, he is gone, 100%. However, if the team believes in him, but he stays in a limited role, they could re-sign him to another min with a player option, and then be able to pay him more in 2025 if he is useful.

It’s so tough to evaluate true talent level (as a viewer) against a B or C squad. The tools look great, but against what defense? I remember thinking Andray Blatche was a real up and comer based on garbage time in DC.
That said, I wonder if the whole Bench Mob benefit from playing together from time to time like this. Bet it makes them all more confident at the least.
