No shit. Tell us which one, and then you're onto something. It is highly likely that at least one of the top 3 QBs taken will be a bust.
Just now seeing your comment in the other thread. Well, shit.Seems familiar.
Oh, thought your post was a play on mine.Just now seeing your comment in the other thread. Well, shit.
I deliberately make no predictions on that score.Because we'll see something worse?
This was good. Both Washington and the Pats pass on Daniels. He begins to slide, changes his mind, and gets crushed.
Love this idea. Who do the Pats take in the 2nd?While the draft threads might be getting a little out of hand, it'll all be over soon enough. In this thread, you get to post one draft-related hot-take and one hot-take only. Please put it in bold. What's your hot-take?
Mine:
While the Pats take QB at 3, their second pick isn't used to draft a WR or OT.
Just say no private high schools in northeast Bergen county. No long snappers, Rutgers players, or armed-services members will be selected by the New England Patriots.
Best player available. Maybe a defensive player falls out of the first round. Or maybe they take a C or TE. I just don’t think it’s a given that they’re going to draft for need with any given pick after their first pick.Love this idea. Who do the Pats take in the 2nd?
Dammit, I've had a "Daniels won't slide in the draft because he doesn't know how" line ready to go for weeks!!!This was good.
I think that in addition to taking a QB at 3, the Pats also should take a flyer on one in the late rounds to better their chances of finding the right guy.None of the top-3 QBs will truly pan out, and for the next few years we'll see graphics showing all the guys who were picked ahead of the late-first-rounder who did succeed - and people will shake their heads at how so many teams could have passed on such a transcendent player.
He does love to fumble the ball.Caleb Williams is, at best, the third best QB in this draft and won't be much better than Justin Fields. And I think Fields is terrible.
Everyone has them pegged taking Bowers, if that happens he would be a solid addition for them imo.The Jets will fuck up their pick.
I think Benson or Brooks ends up in round 2 but agree the best RB will be one of the guys who goes laterNo running backs are taken in the first 2 rounds. And the best back in the draft will be a 4th rounder.
Hey man, cars depreciate as soon as they drive off the lot.In order to maximize the value of whomever they draft at 10, the Jets will immediately trade him for a second round pick in 2025.
I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. The Jets spend all day on the phone trying to work out a trade with the Cardinals for the #4 pick, only to realize too late they have been talking to the St. Louis Cardinals.

For whatever reason this popped into my headI'm laughing so hard I'm crying.
"Yeah...we moved nearly 40 years ago." /clickThe Jets spend all day on the phone trying to work out a trade with the Cardinals for the #4 pick, only to realize too late they have been talking to the St. Louis Cardinals.
I hear you, but problem is the first round takes like four hours as it is, and they’re not gonna start at like 5-6pm for ratings purposes.Round 2 should be tonight too.
I get it, but it's the hot takez thread.I hear you, but problem is the first round takes like four hours as it is, and they’re not gonna start at like 5-6pm for ratings purposes.
I know this thread is calling for crazytown ideas but this is ridiculous. Some team who just threw nearly $200 million at a QB will draft Michael Penix in the top 10. I'm guessing a team dumb enough to think Raheem Morris is a better guy to lead their team because he has a lot of youthful energy.
