Landing space is during in-game play and not a warmup shot afaik. As I said, Tatum brought this all on himself and we got lucky he didn’t really get hurt.

Yeah there is no case for that not being an obvious flagrant AND not how it usually goes. Guys goaltend practice shots, guys throw and hand up... guys do not do hard contests after the whistle, in part because there is a chance of makign contact and getting a foul or flagrant.

This is so silly it hurts. Players across the league take free, open shots after the whistle. They typically don't have asshole defenders being physical with them and making dirty plays. Thankfully, the refs agree.
If Bam wants to get a hand in his face or goaltend swat the shot at the rim, then fine. But he overplayed that incredibly with a shove and landing space encroachment.

Every single time. The defender literally contests any shooters post-whistle flop every single time in 2024.

It probably isn’t in the rule book because nobody does it. It is a dirty play.
I just don’t think it’s a rule that you can call a flagrant foul after the whistle. It’s a dead ball and a flagrant I think.
Remember when Joe blocked the shot after the whistle and the NBA told him to cut the shit HRB? There was no rule against it!
Nobody hard contests practice shots, it's all lazy contests and goaltending.
The NBA rules there cannot be intentional contact in a deadball situation, it's an auto technical. So landing space doesn't come into play because the contact is a technical regardless of where it is.
