Poor Siakam. Got absolutely owned in this game by Bobby Eyes and checks out while the Bucks bench is just giving it to him.

Can you imagine what this board would look like if BOS lost a playoff game to an opposing team missing two of its best players . . . ? :)

Bucks will lose in 7, Doc will get credit for almost coming back in the series with all the injuries, two year extension.
Doc signed 4 year deal so no extension but yes he will get a lot of credit for this win.

Pretty fortunate for the Celtics that Giannis and Dame got hurt because I did not know this version of Khris Middleton still existed. That would have been TROUBLE.

The chances of Middleton keeping this pace through two more rounds...

You know what really would have been trouble? This version of Middleton with Giannis and Portis and one really really good perimeter defender, someone who can take the primary ballhandler and blow up PnRs and dribble handoffs . . . .

Looks like I'm going to go 1-for-2 in my midseason big takez. Bucks are disappointing but my "No need to worry about the Clippers" is looking pretty decent.

You didn’t really get a fair shake with the Bucks with GA getting hurt.. but the Clips and Bucks sort of have the same problem in that they can always implode/not be healthy.. possibly true of any team but they’re really good at it.

My defense would be that Giannis getting hurt is relatively unexpected, while Kawhi being injured was extremely expected. I was never high on the Clippers for that reason, when they were playing great earlier this year I could never buy into it them being a real threat because you knew it could come apart at anytime.

Can Portis keep this up? He torched the Celts this year, so him being a real good basketball player (and not just some kind of jolt off the bench) is not a oneoff.
I think Portis can sustain this level of play. He had one of his better offensive seasons this past year so him being able to score consistently isn't a shock though as you note he is being asked to do a lot more.

I will spare everyone the offensive graphs but Darko has Middleton at a pretty steady level of production when playing. He definitely hasn't fallen off a cliff - he just is an older player dealing with injuries. But its not like his actual output level declined - when he is on the court he tends to produce.

Looks like there's a chance Dame and Giannis play tonight. Feel like Indiana has to be kicking themselves for squandering a chance to end this series in 5.

That’s playing with fire for MIL. Until I see it, I’m going to assume it’s just bluster.

Yeah, as shitty as this season has been (not just their last few weeks), the worst thing in the world wouldn't be for them to lose in round 1. If Giannis or Dame rush back to try to salvage a round 1 series and end up with major achilles injuries, that's when everything gets blown up.

Does TNT have a mic on a random drunk Pacers fan?

“GALLINARI, GET A HAIRCUT! ”

LILLARD YOUR MOM’S WATCHING! ”

“PORTIS, YOUR EYES ARE SLIGHTLY TOO BIG FOR YOUR HEAD! ”

Glad the Pacers aren't the Celtics opponent in Round 2. They look like a tough out.

Nesmith having a really good first half, in both ends.

His shot has been off all series, they needed him to be better there.

He's louder than the announcers at times.. makes the game pretty unlistenable. Hoping he gets a seat upgrade to anywhere else.

I don’t care, really. It’s always been a cheap play. But he didn’t kick his legs out or anything. He just faked and the guy bumped him as he shot it and seems to me they always get that call.

It should have been a foul , but screw Bev, and I want the Pacers to win.

Middleton visibly moves his right foot—-it’s just unreal they review and refuse to make the clearly correct call.

The refs are way too involved in this game. That wasn’t remotely continuation from Nemhart. And it was an offensive foul.

Doc really needs to break out his best motivational speech here. There’s plenty of time, but the crowd and the youngish Pacers are really going to start to smell this at about 6 minutes if Bucks can’t get it down to 8 or so

You can really imagine a future for PP as "TJ with an outside shot." They're nearly identical players at this point, except one gets more opportunity and is a way, way worse shooter.

Carlisle taking a timeout to remind them to play prevent offense lol. This is almost an unblowable lead as long as no one Mitchell Robinson's it.

REAL happy the Pacers are getting it done tonight. And they're putting on a clinic on how to take time off the clock with a big lead

Never in my life have I seen a worse zone than the one the Bucks are playing. No one knows where to go, no one is trying, and they (until Lopez recently came back in) had no one to rebound.

It was a layup line mixed in with wide open 3s due to Pacer boredom.

Doc may have been a good coach (and I get he has little to work with on D), but sticking with this has still been pretty insane.
