    4/24 - Schmidt vs. Boyle

Following along on my phone and that was highly confusing. Judge was rung up looking, but then apparently it was overruled by a balk call and then he homered on the next pitch. Wild.

Which Current MLBers Will Be In the Hall of Fame?

This post made me wonder about Gerrit Cole's case, so I looked up Cole's numbers out of curiosity and it seems like he should have more wins, but assuming (huge assumption) he comes back healthy he has to be considered on track to make the Hall. Cole has 40.7 WAR, a 130 ERA+, 145 W and 2152 Ks.

    4/22 - Rodon vs. Sears

Y'all are going to change your tune when Volpe, Soto and Judge go back-to-back-to-back to walk it off*. *-denotes it is much more likely for them all three to strike out.

    4/22 - Rodon vs. Sears

    This game sucks.

    4/22 - Rodon vs. Sears

I'll take that swing and miss!

    4/22 - Rodon vs. Sears

And the bullpen is starting to regress to the mean. I keep seeing posts on Twitter about how few Yankees relief pitchers generate swings and misses and eventually that is going to really cost them. Especially with our infield defense.

    4/22 - Rodon vs. Sears

ARod got moved to 8th in the order for less! j/k, but Judge does look like he could use a day off.

    4/22 - Rodon vs. Sears

A matchup of lefties, one of whom was one of the main pieces in the worst recent Cashman trade (Montas deal). A random thought experiment for this morning: If the Yankees had ponied up and traded for Luis Castillo instead of Montas, where are we today? They potentially don't have Soto, but...

MLS 2024: It’s Leo’s league, we’re all just playing in it

I've been pining for Schmetzer to get fired for awhile, but now seems like an even better time. The Sounders inexplicably decided to run it back, plus sign an oft injured DP. And it's resulted in the worst start in franchise history, dreadfully boring soccer and loss after loss after loss...

    4/21 - Gil vs Civale

Hoping for someone not named Juan to do something offensively today, though if Juan wants to go off that is fine as well.

    4/20: Cortes The Killer

As the token Gleyber defender, let me just say he looks like absolute trash this year. Can't hit, no power and terrible defense.

    4/19: Alexander vs. Schmidt

I really like this and agree.

    4/19: Alexander vs. Schmidt

Do you ever have such a shitty commute that you forget all about the game and then eventually look up the score, see we scored 5 runs right around when you stopped paying attention and then just be happy we got the win? Yeah, me neither.

    4/19: Alexander vs. Schmidt

Was Volpe bunting for a hit there? Otherwise I don't like it.

    The WNBA: Thread II

Was I the only one amused that during her SNL appearance, Clark shouted out a list of players who helped pave the way for her to the WNBA - and she didn't mention a single UConn player?

    4/17: Stroman vs. Gausman

That was Judge's only hit of the series. And a good one it was.

    4/17: Stroman vs. Gausman

Just saw the replay. That was a great pick by Volpe on a weird hop. I've been really impressed with his defense this year.

    Great win!

    4/17: Stroman vs. Gausman

Presumably the Toronto manager was also pissed at the ump when all those balls were called strikes against the Yankees.

    4/17: Stroman vs. Gausman

That was a fine piece of hitting by Judge. Also, this ump has been fucking awful this inning. Has he been this bad all game?
