    No, it's comprised of several events. Goals, baskets, touchdowns, points, dribbles, shots, fouls. You watch for those, and also the outcome. The outcome isn't all that matters. You don't go into a game knowing your team won, but not knowing who scored.

    I think the comparison with live sports is a bad one. A sports game is made up of uncertain events, a draft pick is a certain event with an uncertain outcome. Watching the game play out is a huge part of the fun, I don't think watching Roger Goodell walk to the stage is that meaningful.

    Yeah, but that's a sporting event. The uncertainty of the result and the process is 90% of the enjoyment.     I never post spoilers on draft day threads, but I don't get what's the issue in wanting to know the pick ahead of time. It's just Goodell reading names off a piece of paper, what's the problem in getting the information a few minutes earlier? Not like the announcement itself is meaningful.
