Awesome. I see Jaime is 48 now. He looks as timeless as the Horford family.

    4/29: Game 4@Miami

Didn't watch live so I missed the game thread, but did anyone else notice Jaime Hector (Marlo Stanfield) sitting next to Al's dad?? They showed him 3 or 4 times, I'm sure it's him.

    4/27: Game 3@Miami

Game ball to whoever said I don't know what to KP at half time because he came out looking like he finally figured out the timing on the defensive side after looking really off tempo the first 2.5 games

2024 Playoffs Eastern Conference First Round: (3) Milwaukee Bucks vs (6) Indiana Pacers

Ah yes, 45 minutes for a guy with a bum Achilles, I'm sure they thought this all through

Celtics vs Da Culture - Round 1 (FIGHT!)

Good point. And in the regular season it was also largely about playing Tatum next to our reserves, specifically PP Hauser and Big Bird. In the two games so far Tatum and Jrue have come out together for Al and PP so it's not like they're even leveraging Tatum with the weakest role player. I...

Celtics vs Da Culture - Round 1 (FIGHT!)

There's really no excuse for playing KP and Al together against these Heat lineups. They're just not equipped to guard the perimeter aggressively enough. I would rather see minutes with Hauser and Tatum at the 5 than more two bigs (although no reason to do this unless KP and Al are both playing...

Celtics vs Da Culture - Round 1 (FIGHT!)

Maybe the adjustment is taking out all the times Claxton gets fouled off ball to send him to the line? Celtics love doing this to him (and Simmons and Drummond over the years). Even still, Claxton is aggressively hacked under the basket any time he's there because he struggles at the line. How...

Celtics vs Da Culture - Round 1 (FIGHT!)

Post LeBron Bosh without the 3? And yeah early Al without the range. It's a good question. There really aren't a lot of guys with his combination of skills in the league right now and the league plays so different it's hard to compare eras in a lot of ways. I chuckled at this. Claxton and his...

April 21, 2024: Beat the Heat

I also would have taken White out after that hit from Bam, but I am not a huge fan of the two big lineup against lineups like the Heat

    Jrue Deal for Holiday

I'm so fucking hyped right now. I absolutely love Jrue and think he's about to remind everyone how elite talent like his shines brightest in the playoffs. He keeps his body in great shape and excels with technique and strength so I'm totally expecting him to play at an elite level for several...

This Celtics team's biggest weakness is...

During his final season here Danny Ainge did commentary for a whole game with Scal. The topic of nicknames came up and Scal asked Danny if he liked the Green Kornet or what for Luke, and Danny said oh no, we call him Big Bird. So Luke Kornet has been Big Bird to me and my friends for years.

    2023-2024 General NBA Season Thread

OG has played 848 playoff minutes over 27 games (13-14 record), shooting 48.6/39.6/69.1, including this shot that still haunts my dreams. I think he's played in enough big games to consider his experience a plus for the Knicks. View: https://youtu.be/KxbioKax1Iw?si=bOp7WVnqvZYX7KYQ

    Pritchard Extended

Rondo and PP are both small guards with good handles and a nose for rebounds. Other than that their games don't overlap at all. If Rondo could shoot like PP he might still be playing, while PP dreams of making the kind of head turning reads that Rondo made routine.

Do we need a Celtics Announcing thread?

Grande has been my favorite broadcaster in all of Boston sports for years now, and that's no shade at anyone else (except DOB). Like many others I think Mike lost his fastball, probably around the time they made him call games remotely during Covid. I've been looking forward to/hoping that...

    2023-24 Celtics

While we're on the subject of Jaylen Brown kerfuffles I've always wondered what prompted JB to shove Bogdonavic way back in the first round of the 18-19 playoffs. View: https://youtu.be/ufmNfdbOSpo?si=e-CZ9A0N7JPzSblH
