Get that McQuaid voodoo doll ready:

Defensemen Kevan Miller and Colin Miller were full participants, Colin Miller (lower-body injury) in full contact for the first time. Kevan Miller’s availability depends on how he feels, Julien said, as the defenseman has recovered from a concussion but then was hit by a virus. Both are possibilities against Detroit.

Fluto says the Miller's are in for Liles and Morrow; Hayes in for Czarnik.

Rask is apparently good to go.

Marginal optimism, since the defense really declined (much more than i expected) without Millers. Hard to pinpoint precise cause and effect, obviously, or which Miller.

I would blame Liles and Morrow. Liles has been a disaster, and Morrow has been very timid both with the puck and without.

B's have 32 games left. They are currently on pace for 85 points. I figure 95-96 is the target for the playoffs. That means they need 43 points from the remaining 32 games. Ottawa is on pace for 100 points; Toronto 97. Ottawa is smoke and mirrors and could crash, but Toronto is legit. Philly is on pace for 88 in the wild card chase. That might be our best bet.

Time is running very thin. Can't piss away points from here on out.

Giving Spooner another go at C. Resulted in 4 goals against last time we tried this. Against Detroit, no less.

As posted above, they've used up all their rope. They need 2 points if they have ideas on participating in the post season. Shit or get off the pot time.

What's he supposed to do there? He gets out of the way and it's an easy tap in and we yell at him for that.

This team outplays their opponent for 10 minutes a game. They get outplayed for 20. The rest of the game is a draw. They have to score more in that 10 than the opponent does in their 20, and that's not easy.

that happytoseeyou kid can skate

im not saying he's wrong, but I'd like to hear Jack's rationale for claiming defense in hockey is the hardest position to play in all of professional sports.
