Good lord, and the lead image is a beef-on-weck place? He can't even get food right. Assorted gripes:
  • No mention of Gabriel's Gate, or any other reputable wing spot for that matter, in Ruffalo
  • 2 of 3 spots in Calgary are coffee shops, helpful
  • Lists Rogers Arena as one of the three spots for Edmonton as it's too cold to go outside, again helpful
In the good column, he shouts out Pequod's for Chicago and L'Express for Montreal

Overall, I give it 3 bags of popcorn and an open rec for a Bruins beat writer

Joey Mac is a refreshing follow. Well worth the fee to sign up for Boston Sports Journal. He does, you know, actual work on the team and has, like, informed opinions on stuff.
I completely agree with this. It’s easily the best Bruins coverage around.

Oh, for sure, but WEEI/Globe/Herald don’t take it nearly as seriously. And for the vast majority of fans, those are the outlets that count.

BSJ is definitely the best for local Bruins coverage, but Joey Mac is just one guy. The Athletic has become my go-to for hockey content. It’d be nice to get a Bruins/Boston branch, but that seems unlikely.

Marchand - Nash - Pastrnak
DeBrusk - Krejci - Bjork
Beleskey - Spooner - Vatrano
Schaller - Kuraly - Heinen

I actually like this line, I spit-balled putting Nash with Pasta a while ago. So they're probably gonna get caved in tonight, of course

edit: d-pairs:

Chara - Carlo
Krug - McQuaid
Miller - McAvoy

Just noticed, rough start for the Habs too eh? Fire Clode?
According to the Puck Soup guys, take the over on Montreal's 99 point prediction!*

(* - They took the under on the Bruins 93, so I'm bitter and fuck them. They might be funny and have a great podcast, but they are total dicks).

Actually their podcast kinda sucks. I like Wyshynski but Lozo is a sarcastic, unfunny, bitter guy and really annoys the shit out of me. Once Spittin Chiclets came out, my hockey podcast fix was satiated and I haven't looked back.

Word is Pete Blackburn is starting up a hockey podcast too (hence why he's leaving Section 10) so that has sparked my interest as well.

I really love the PDOCast if anyone is looking for an analytical leaning hockey podcast.

As far as gambling, Winnipeg is looking like a disaster early, but if they're still 66-1 this weekend I'm throwing some money on them to win it all

Yeah, I was going to mention the PDOcast. My 2 hockey podcasts are the PDOcast and Spittin’ Chiclets. The PDOcast with Dom Luczynzyzynrneyznsy or whatever his last name is was a pretty good rundown of the league and previews for every team.

Edit: Mike Commodore on SC was awesome too. His hatred for Mike Babcock is fantastic.

+1. It's fallen down in my order of what I listen to and I end up skipping and deleting half the time. I go back and forth on Wysh and have for about 7 years. I appreciate how hard he workes and like him on non-Bruins hockey but he reminds me of everyone from Jersey I knew from college. I don't know how to describe them but they're rarely ever the Jersey Shore bros but instead are more like him.

Lozo will have 1 or 2 really funny lines each episode but it doesn't make up for him being a cynical asshole the rest of the time. He's like a less funny Fred Toucher who takes himself more seriously. He somehow walks the line of being self deprecating while also being a condescending prick.

Chiclets is awesome and I'd definitely be in on a Pete Blackburn podcast. He's a much better version of Lozo plus has the local connection
