The Bruins' inaugural game in Las Vegas deserves an early game thread. Is this going to be a RMPS Bash? Myself, PSK, and a couple others are already booked. Who else is in?

right here
I mentioned in the other time it came up that I'm seriously considering this. Where are you guys staying? Tickets aren't on sale yet right?
I'm a Vegas Virgin and know basically nothing but am thinking about making a trip out of it and going Wed or Thursday through Monday. Are day trips to Grand Canyon doable? Hoover Dam? Anything like that? I'm not a huge gambler so an hour or 3 playing roulette or whatever will probably scratch that itch pretty good for me unless there's a group at a table I suppose.

We're provisionally at the Cosmopolitan, due to decent rate for 2 rooms and proximity to the arena - but it's free cancellation for a while so looking at other options periodically.

I signed up for ticket alerts from VGK here: https://www.nhl.com/goldenknights/tickets/single-game - I said I lived in Vegas, and got an email from someone to discuss 10-12 game ticket packages - on the fence there as resale will probably be great in year one, but it's likely I'd miss out on the B's game. More info in August I suppose.

I went to the Hoover Dam when I was 12 with my family, that wasn't too far. I think Death Valley is pretty close as well. That's about all I got for day trips though - I'd love to get out and golf around there a bit but this trip'll be too short I imagine.

I'm planning on making the trip over for this one. There's also Pats-Jets at 10am that morning which would make for a good meet up at one of the Sportsbooks.

I've been to Vegas a couple of times when my brother lived there. I did the Grand Canyon thing. It was just a day trip. Leave early in the morning on a greyhound and get back at night. I enjoyed it. This was a few years ago, but it was worth the cost to me as I had really wanted to see it. The drive is about 4 hours though. So it's 8 hours of driving.

The Hoover Dam is only like an hour away so you can do that very easily and still have time to do other cool stuff.
