The Breadman is the Blue Jackets' leading point scorer, and has one goal. Looks like tonight's scoresheet will be...

Rask is in net, the McIntyre recall was for Khudobin.

Looks like some bottom 6 juggling by Cassidy

Marchand - Bergeron - Bjork
DeBrusk - Backes - Pastrnak
Schaller - Kuraly - Heinen
Agostino - Nash - Vatrano

3rd straight healthy scratch for Beleskey looming. I feel like they’ve got to be close to the waive-and-send to Providence move with him.

Also- Czarnik has been lighting it up in Providence. I think I’d be for a Czarnik for Kuraly swap on the roster. May provide some more offense with Krejci out.

Does Vatrano have to go through waivers to get sent down? I feel he is giving them nothing right now. At least Belesky would hit someone.
Vatrano needs waivers. I actually think Frank has been OK- 58% CF, 61% scoring chances for, only 0.8 goals against per 60. Averaging only ~9 minutes of ice time per game with a lot of soft matchups and o zone starts, but when he’s on the ice it’s not a tire fire. I’d actually give him PP time. Seems like a waste to not deploy his shot on the man advantage. Beleskey hasn’t been too terrible either by those same numbers though. About the same, slightly lower percentages.

I don’t think there’s a chance Frank gets through waivers. If they are compelled to move on I’d imagine they could get something in a trade. Beleskey in an albatross at this point.

Vatrano on the PP would be great if he had the physical wherewithal to play the slot, but I'm not sure he could stand up to the punishment. Otherwise, he can probably execute that low crosser play they like, but I'm not sure what else. Maybe some value in getting good rebounds off his wrist shot? Is there a metric on shots taken that generate rebounds? It would be interesting to see if his generates more than average and from where on the ice it does so.

Postma looking less than ideal on both goals... wouldn't mind minimizing his dzone start% from the current 52% year to date

Yeah seemed dumb / careless more so than malicious but not great any way you cut it

Yeesh no penalty? You'd think they'd want to get that out of the game more than shoving sticks out of people's hands

Yep, didn't mean it but it happened. Give 'em 2 and tell him not to do it again. Guess that makes too much sense.

McAvoy should've just run into the pick Jones was setting on his rush back up ice, would have been a stonewall interference penalty. Huge save by Tuukka regardless
