Seriously, they are obnoxious. Fans, media, coaches (is there a coach in all of sports that gets gushed about more than Mike Babcock?). Destroy them.

Bottom 6 tonight is:

Heinen - JFK - Bjork
Wagner - Kuraly - $6 million for 2 more full seasons

Seriously though, is Backes a buyout candidate this offseason? After next season I would definitely entertain the idea.

Hayes buyout comes off after this season, so they'll have at least one. I think the concurrent limit of the running buyouts is 3 at a time though, so I think they might be able to do it now.

His NMC becomes a modified no trade. Threaten him w Prov if he doesn’t waive for a trade to Arizona

I'm totally with Pasta camping out there and scoring Ovi specials when the other team decides to 4-on-1 Bergeron.

I really think that Grzelcyk has taken a step up so far this year. Its clear that he's still a second year player, but month-over-month I think he's shown consistent improvement in both his own skills (like his stickhandling there to delay/defend the TOR forecheck) as well as his system play (getting to places at the blue line where the puck comes out to keep it in the offensive zone, being available on outlets) have just showed slow steady improvement. McQuaid/Boychuck, while admittedly very different body types, had a similar start where they started slow, got minutes, improved, earned more minutes, and then grew into a regular starter. I think that Grz could be following a similar path of steadily increasing usefulness and value.

I agree, though I would add that I think Grz has a much more 2018 NHL skill set than those two (maybe less so, Boychuck, but definitely McQuaid). I really think he could turn into a serious weapon for this team going forward.

Still don’t get why they aren’t called the Maple Leaves.
You really want to know? They are not named for the plant. They are named for the Maple Leaf Division. A Canadian army unit in WWI. So they are multiples of soldiers in that unit.

I really like to think that the B's went out there going "yeah, let's get him the hat trick". The lateral puck movement in the offensive zone this game has been a huge weapon.
