5th game in 7 nights so this could a bit of a struggle.

The Bruins have really been playing some excellent hockey. Outshot 3 quality Metro teams by the tune of 117-67. They have moved into pretty firm control of the 3rd Atlantic playoff spot, 5 points up on Montreal and they still have 2 games in hand on them.

McQuaid won’t play tonight. Khudobin in net.

I think I would get Vatrano in the lineup. May not hurt to have some fresh legs in there.

Total snipe.

I gotta give credit to Spooner for his actions leading up to the goal.

1) After Chara tried to exploit a seam in the offensive zone, Spooner was the guy that roatated back on D and helped McAvoy interrupt the rush.
2) Got the puck to McAvoy who has this amazing skill to make a long pass to an open guy who can do something
3) Drove the net while DeBrusk was going wide, forcing defenders to play him and give DeBrusk the opportunity to go high, near side.

edit: They changed it. Spooner/McAvoy with the assists.

Bruins not offsides there, IMO. Last two Sabres possessions were borderline offsides though.

Edit: Renowned for my unimpeachable objectivity.

God damn that was a snipe by DeBrusk. Loved him knocking the bottle off as well. Always tickles me when that happens, except to Tuukka.

Watching the game in a bar on a small tv with no sound...is this game as bananas as it seems from afar? How is there only one goal?

Yeah it has been pretty back and forth. Chances are 21-19 Buffalo. The Bruins have had some fortunate shot blocks around Khudobin, and at the other end they’ve had a few chances to swat in loose pucks around the crease but can’t seem to actually connect with the puck. Lots of whiffs.

Backes should have buried that. Kind of a bunny, he had control of his stick again.

The Nash line deserved a goal. And Khudobin was incredible tonight. Nothing to complain about there, especially from a tired team.

Schaller will chirp the whole trip home that he was absolutely going for the bank shot goal. As well he should.
And Acciari gets first shot at the buffet. The first block was impressive enough but doing it again with 10 seconds left in a 3-0 game? Mwa.

Tied or winning at the end of regulation in 82% of their games. I would not have guessed that would happen.

Yep. This is a very good hockey team.
The number of players that have taken a step up from where they were last year is incredible, and I think this team can continue to get better as the newer players get more experience and comfort.

DeBrusk's goal was a a beauty. He had a 4x4 box to slip that in and he nailed it.

Like me and FL4WL3SS's mom last night.
