The past few years this has been a fun thread and I don't think it is too late to fire it up.

Here are my BOLD predictions for this year.

*Both the Cubs and Dodgers miss the playoffs. Cubs finish under .500. Schwarber spends time in the minors.

*Phillies win a wild card

*Patrick Corbin pulls a Dallas Kuechel and wins NL Cy Young.

*Stanton, Chris Davis AND Pedro Alvarez hit 50 HRS.

*Tommy John surgeries drop dramatically this year.

*Tampa makes the World Series.

The Marlins are the only bold prediction in this bunch; the others are close to even-money props.

Well, it's exceedingly unlikely that Brian Cashman gets fired IMO, pretty much no matter what happens this season. He's done his job nicely the last two years, and they're in the middle of a multi-season plan to wait out the deals of CC and A-Rod and Teixeira and Beltran (although they may end up wanting Tex back for a year depending on Bird's recovery). NY missing the playoffs is at least an even-money bet, agreed there.

What?
Pablo Sandoval does not have the worst Red Sox season, and Mookie Betts does not have the best.

ARod has a great year, says all the right things, puts himself in position to retire on good terms with his team and the league.

Urias wins his first game before turning twenty.
