He says in his presser today and I quote....."I don't talk a lot about it, but we're young". This guy truly believes his own bullshit and is on another planet. Twittah (as Moose would say) is all blown up over TC coming back as AD. Maybe it will happen. Who knows? Not sure if he would be the right guy and could he get along with Leahy?? He doesn't fit what I am looking for but he would be a shot in the arm as to fundraising and maybe moving the needle on facilities improvements. You have to start somewhere I suppose.

Daz was every bit as bad of a hire as Spaz. I used to think that nobody could match Spaz's ineptitude but this moron absolutely has. We really are the Cleveland Browns of college football.

At least Spaz had a couple of good recruiting classes before he fell off. And heck he really did a good job his first 2 years for the most part. In 2009 he won 8 games despite losing the best defensive player in America to cancer, and having Uncle Dave as his only option at QB

I was thinking about this yesterday. The last 3 BC coaches have basically gone poof after 2 years, and the first 2 years for each has been declining (both recruiting and on field)

2008 Jags loses interest in coaching and especially recruiting, and tries to get out of town, gets rewarded by being fired.

2011 After 2 solid years and good recruiting, recruiting starts to decline, and Spaz basically goes full Captain Queeg starting with beating up Kevin Rodgers at halftime of the UCF game, and moving forward to 2 years of mid week practices that coaches from the 50's would have thought were too tough, ending up with a team that was beaten up every week before Saturday came.

2014 After a decent second year, featuring the one really good win of his tenure Daz starts courting jobs through his agent, and he is rewarded with a 2 year extension. Daz inexplicably stops working on recruiting and goes back to the Spaz model of finishing recruiting by Summer. And much like Spaz Daz goes on a power grab and takes complete control of the offense, which I guess was too flashy for his liking under Day

Diaco actually said after blowing another game this week that " 3-5 doesn't represent the commitment, effort and improvement these kids have made..."

In essence he's saying his awful coaching game decisions have cost them games. At least two by my account. But he's too stupid to realize what he said or what he's done. Or both.

My point is that when the two behemoths of New England meet next month, the loser's presser should be recorded as an FBI instruction tape on deciphering BS.

The game should be sponsored by MAACO.

Where the fuck were you sitting, not in your old seats because there were about 20 of us rain soaked asses up in QQ
I was in RR.

I saw something that I thought I'd never see on Saturday, and it's indicative of where this program is. My dad, a season ticket holder for 30 years and a glutton for punishment who's sat through monsoons and bone-chilling cold and lackluster play and Z-rate opponents like Wagner and Buffalo without ever leaving a game early, left Saturday's game early.

The mist at kickoff became a steady rain through the 1st quarter, then became a drenching in the 2nd. We decided to go into Conte to wait it out for a while (it was supposed to clear up as the day progressed), and as I mentioned earlier in the thread, there was no TV feed on any of the screens, nor was the radio play-by-play piped in over the PA, something BC has done in the past when the weather has been less than ideal. My dad was pissed. And this man, who in 30 years had never left game early under any circumstance, regardless of opponent or weather or score, looked at me and said, "You had enough?"

I got the sense his statement wasn't limited to that specific moment in time, it was a reckoning on the program itself.

I nodded, and we left.

Oh, for the halcyon days of Tom O'Brien.

Daz has figured out the real problem with BC football and it isn't in his chair

http://www.bcinterruption.com/boston-college-football-2016/2016/10/24/13398384/steve-addazio-not-fan-of-critics-on-social-media-these-are-words-he-said-presented-without-comment

What happens is, the external pressures that get put on, to me, have been incredible. I’m in to solutions, I’m in to what do we have to do to help this team develop and grow. I’m not in to what do we have to do to tear it down. But that’s the nature of the beast…

That’s the state of affairs, with pro and college sports. With social media, everyone’s got a voice. And it can be very negative and cutting. And I’m not really sure, when people do that, what their end game is. I mean, is your end game just to tear people down? If that makes you feel good, keep doing it
There is also talk of Daz pulling the redshirt from Anthony Brown and playing him this weekend. In some ways this is probably terrible for the 2020 Eagles if it happens, but Daz won't be there. It makes some sense for Daz to play him because IF he comes in and BC keeps losing, but the kid shows flashes of being special, then Daz can try to sell that as reason to keep him employed

A P5 college football head coach is crying about external pressure? What?

Hope Louisville scores 70 in less than 2 weeks. This change needs to arrive ASAP
Need all the "external pressure" we can get

It might be worth him doing this if it gave the new AD the ammo he needs to persuade the Jesuits that Daz needs to go, no matter the cost. That sort of blatant putting of personal interest ahead of the best interests of the university seems like the sort of thing that would strike a nerve with Fr. Leahy.

Congrats to BC football who passed the 1 million minute mark since their last ACC win sometime early Monday morning this week. That is an impressive number

Saturday will be day 700

Daz calling a timeout for NC State before the 4th down long fg try might be the worst time management decision in history

Epic fail by Doren at NCST who basically ran the Daz playbook against BC all day, forced an ineffective running game all day, and mostly ignored the gaping hole that is downfield against the BC secondary

Good for the kids to get a win, but if this has any impact towards BC extending Daz, then it becomes a very dark day for BC football.

This game really emphasized how baffling BC play calling has been all year. One wonders where the first quarter offense has been all season

I don't think we have to worry about extension. Probably gives a reason to not fire him. So just delaying the decision and saving some money.

Mike I was wondering the same thing, where the fuck has this offence been all year. Well we all know that after sneaking by UVA yesterday, Petrino will kick the coed off his motorcycle and empty the playbook this week

Louisville is still in the playoff hunt believe it or not. They need some help like Michigan beating tOSU and W losing along the way, but if there are only 3 unbeatens left, and they end up 11-1 and say tOSU is 10-2 and W is 11-1 they just might sneak in the #4 spot.

That all means style points from here on out. Louisville can't have any more UVA games especially against teams like BC. Look for Petrino, who will never be confused with a sportsman, try to put 60 up on BC next week. I think it's possible as everyone knows BC's weaknesses on D play right into Lamar Jackson.

As for the game yesterday, good for the kids. I like BC's chances against UConn and it appears that the season will come down to Wale Forest on Turkey Day weekend. The question to chew on, along with the drumstick, is a 5-7 season enough to save Daz's job?

Kinda sad that they scheduled Wagner. If that win was over a 2nd Mac or Army or something, or a couple plays went the other way vs Syracuse or Gt, they could be going bowling. (Provided they take care of business vs Storrs U and Forest)

if anyone wants to watch the inevitable 2016 Heisman winner put up 70 points this Saturday, BC is holding a, $10 adult, $5 youth, sale for the game (until Friday or inventory lasts LOL)

(Game v. Storrs U also available at same price. )

This game will be a bleep storm. Louisville is ranked #7 in the playoff poll. Aggie land , tOSU and Dub are ahead of them. They legitimately have a chance for the playoffs if those three lose one more game (in Dub's case, lose at all) and the Cardinals can run the table. They also need Clemson to win out including the ACCCG.

No heavy lifting for Louisville as they have BC, Wake, Houston (who have fallen back to earth) and Kentucky left. No one on the schedule they can't handle. But they need to win these games with authority. Or as Jags would say..."win the games, and look good doing it!"

It's sad turning on ESPN 2 and seeing the BC Stadium about 75% empty against the No. 7 team in the land with the front runner for the Heismann. Really really sad.

35-0 in 24 minutes. Can Bobby call off the dogs now?
I hope not. I hope he does put 70+ on the board today.

I hope the crowd at ALumni recognizes they are seeing something truly special out there today, and just get on the Jackson bandwagon for the rest of the game. Embrace the greatness

At least BC is dominating time of possession so far

Go Lamar go

4 TD's on 8 completions against a team coached by a "defensive magician" is impresive

as is having 90% of your team's rushing yards as a QB
