Never felt very strongly about Ernie Johnson one way or the other, but his reaction upon the announcement of his grandkid was pretty cool

Objection - facts not yet in evidence.

I mean, that might yet prove to be the case, but how you can make that assertion on a Friday afternoon is beyond me.
I was referring to the first two days. It was legitimately fun watching yesterday. The other three tourney's didn't have the players or the action. They were kind of boring, especially The Masters. The US Open was close.

Phil just predicted (twice) someone is going to shoot 62 or 61(!) this weekend because the course is playing so easy and the greens are so true.

I just sat down for the afternoon, and I walk into my living room to see everyone walking off the course. Shucks.

I know it's fashionable to hate Nantz, but I think he's fine hosting golf. Why does he fuck with your soul so much?
The sound of his voice and his overwrought style grate on me intensely. I've hated Nantz for decades, so I'm not trying to be fashionable. And, for some reason, I don't mind Bob Costas or Joe Buck, so this is Nantz specific. But Nantz is just brutal.

Believe me, I'm not accusing you of being fashionable. It just seems like everyone here hates Nantz. Except for me, I guess. I barely even notice that he's there.
In my opinion, golf commentators are generally excellent--better than any collective group in any other sport. Except for Peter Jacobson.

I did think the TNT guys this week were universally excellent. That was some solid work by the TNT crew. If Nantz was traded for David Feherty, it would be a huge win for me. But that obviously isn't going to happen.

But they play different roles. Someone has to be the vanilla guy who guides the broadcast, like Dan Hicks or Mike Tirico, Ernie Johnson, or even Whit Watson. Personally, I think Hicks does a great job of it.

This one is on the PGA. The USGA outlawed rain years ago.

I suspect they'll change that decision if there are weather delays early tomorrow and it's clear the final round won't be finished until Monday. The latter, of course, is what happened the last time the PGA was at Baltusrol...
They began rolling out foursomes for the final round almost immediately after the leaders teed off for their third round, so they are committed to their plans regardless of the weather today.
