Great minds think alike. No big tournament last summer; the players look ready.

I know it's 20 minutes into the season, but Arsenal's passing looks really improved.

This is the most Arsenal game ever. Beautiful interplay, having a lot of the ball, even finding some success... and lightning strikes them, as if out of nowhere.

Hate Arse, but that was a handball in the box.
Are you talking about the shot a few minutes ago, coming from wide that Morgan tipped (with his hand against his chest) into Schmeichel? Because if so, I'm not sure where Morgan was supposed to put his arm so as to be inoffensive.

Tremendous first touch by Ramsey to get that ball on his right foot.

Giroud shoved McGuire right out of the way for that header.

Arlo does a good job of commentating even when you know he's gutted about seeing his team lose.

I hope NBC never loses the PL.

No. Before the goal, Ndidi stopped a cross with his arm. He couldn’t have avoided it, but the arm was level or over his head, making him big.

Just rewatched the first half. Cech was really not himself. His tracking of crosses, something that typically improves as a keeper gains experience, was pretty clueless. It might be harsh to blame him for the first two goals, but I don’t think a year or two ago they score. On the first, he misjudged the flight and took himself completely out of the play. He didn’t get to pressure the cut-back header and he wasn’t in a position to make a save on the shot. On the second he made a half-attempt to get the cross and wasn’t in a position to make a save. Very uncharacteristic.

He was a victim of awful defending on the third but I’d like to see him take less of an interest in clearing out his marker so he’s set for the shot. If Vardy’s header hadn’t been so surgical Cech wouldn’t have been prepared to make a save, anyway.

In other words...perfect time to sell you guys a 27-year-old keeper coming off two pretty good seasons at Roma.

I wouldn't write Cech off yet but I could see Ospina pushing him for the starting job sometime this year.

Who is new? I mean you have Alexander-Arnold playing instead of Clyne and Moreno possibly instead of Milner, who probably played more matches than Moreno last season. That´s the difference on defense. Like a wash or worse. What would you expect.

I would have expected marking on set pieces to be observed as a critical weakness early on into Klopp's tenure by the first team coaches, and to have had extensive training ground routines to try and remedy their woes.

Instead, the first set piece of the season leads to an unmarked header at the top of the six yard box. Maybe that's a personnel issue, but there's some responsibility there on the coaching staff.

The second goal was the result of a lack of focus by Can trying to backheel it to Moreno in a tight space along the left touchline. Once that ball went out of play, Can and Henderson fell asleep, Lovren/Matip/Arnold were outnumbered, and an unlucky bounce of Arnold's clearance resulted in a sitter

Hold on, Watford have had left backs named Holebas and Cholevas in the last two years?

edit: weird, same guy, alternate spelling :fonz:

Did Salah flat out miss that finish or was that just a good defensive play by Watford? NBCSN not giving enough of a replay.

FFS! Terrible... Can anyone defend on this friggin team?!
Mignolet completely misplayed that ball, as well. Horrible defending set pieces.

Terrible to give them two set pieces in extra time. Why bring on Gomez for Arnold? That first free kick on Gomez led to the corner.
