Going to the UConn game v Holy Cross with Clears Cleaver and a few other SoSohers. Annual UConn tailgate group outing. Unfortunately, they will kick us out of the tailgate and make us go to the game by end of first quarter.

Randy is back. Not a very imaginative hire, but play calling and in-game coaching decisions should improve immensely. That's a very low bar to go over, of course.

If the Florida State-Alabama game goes into multiple OTs and stretches to four hours will the Chick-fil-A stand close at the stroke of midnight Sunday?

Anyone watching more closely than me have any insight on the injury in the UT-Maryland game?

Didn't see the injured player move his legs or arms. They didn't show a replay. And the body language of the Terps suggests the worst.

Fuck.

I just tuned into the Maryland/UT game, so I didn't see the injury you're talking about. It's currently 37-34 Maryland, but Maryland's QB looks like he just blew out his knee. They are bringing in the redshirt freshman, 4 star recruit that is supposedly the future of the program.

Tommy Stevens is a helluva backup QB for Penn State and will be used in a two-QB package. 6-5 and 224, hard runner. Can't believe he didn't transfer.

When it rains, it pours.

Obviously this is on a whole other level than the earlier injury.

I assume Texas will win this game. Can't imagine the Terps rallying.

The kid looks like the real deal. Converts a 3rd and 19 on a beautiful throw that the receiver broke a tackle and went 40 yards, and then he punched it in himself on the ground. Maryland by 10 now.

And going for it on 4th down on the previous drive will be what ends up costing Texas the game. So much for the coaching improvements this staff was supposed to bring.

They just announced an update on that kid's condition, he is awake and moving. At the hospital for tests, but sounds good.

Not sure if they mentioned it but this is Florida's first regular season non-conference game outside of Florida since 1991 (a loss at Syracuse). That was the year Dick McPherson was hired by the Patriots, Paul Pasqualoni took over and went 10-2

I see Florida finally found a quarterback who can throw touchdown passes for them. Fuck.

This game has got to be frustrating for Harbaugh. And Speight's confidence has to be shaken a bit. Florida doesn't seem to be too hurt by 8-player (or is it 10 at game time?) suspension, although I haven't drilled down on how many were actual starters. One thing for sure, there is speed all over the place in this game. As a Penn State guy, it hurt to see former Nittany commit Quinn Nordin hit that 55-yarder. But good for him. 2-for-2 in his 1st game so far. Oh well, Penn State isn't doing too badly with Tyler Davis, and have the commitment from one of the top kickers for 2018 with Jake Pinegar.

Seriously on the bolded. I'm always glad to see kickers do well. No one pays attention to them unless they miss. A team with a good kicker can win games they probably shouldn't win otherwise.

Georgia starter Jacob Eason goes down with a knee injury on a late hit on the second series of the year. Super-recruit Jake Fromm in.

It's way too hot in LA right now to be doing anything much less play a football game in the oven that is the coliseum. They should have flexed this game back to at least 6pm
