With an 8 point lead, ball inside the Utah 20, and 3 minutes left, Washington State passes, and it gets picked off. Never change Leach. A field goal effectively would have ended it.

I just looked at the box and did a little math

Combined, 92% of the yards gained came via pass

Displaced
Clemson didn’t look good in 3rd Quarter and Bryant struggled, but they took care of Fla. State and control their own destiny. Win @ Gamecocks and beat Miami in ACC Championship and they are in the final four. That early win against Auburn is now a more meaningful win given AU’s win over #1 Georgia.

The Big 12, where defense goes to die.

It honestly looks like the defenses are playing with like 7 guys half the time. The field is just all green grass and guys running free.

69 pass attempts for Falk today. Not even close to the highest numbers they've had in recent years. They don't just abandon the run, they completely forget its very existence.

It's amazing. The 5th ranked team is playing the 6th ranked team right now, and it's probably the 3rd most interesting game going on at the moment.

The turnover chain is a good gimmick.

Brian might have a heart attack on the field

At Hard Rock Stadium tonight. Holy cow, is it loud. Miami football is definitely back.

The Notre Dame friends I came with are on suicide watch.

Blatant hands to the face by Alabama there. Unless the rule is different in college, that was egregious. Not called, gotta keep Bama in the race.

Yeah, this game is DONE, even though it's tied.

And doesn't look like it will matter after that Miss St three and out. Perfect time and field position for Bama to finish it with no fine left on the clock.

I can't believe how poor that series was for Miss St. You have to play for the win there

Alabama with the dagger TD; first they complete a pass for 25 yards on 3rd and 15, then when you think they are going to run to set up the FG, they throw a slant for the TD.

They are assassins............

Wisconsin isn't jumping ahead of Miami this week. It doesn't really matter. If both teams win out, they are getting in the Top 4 when it matters at the end.

The teams that need help are Auburn and Ohio State. It is amazing how good a shape Ohio State is in after getting blown out last week by an Iowa team that won't be ranked next week. As long as Bama wins the SEC, Ohio State will be definitely in if they win the Big 10. If Bama beats Auburn and loses to Georgia, it will be interesting to see if a 1 loss Bama makes it over a 2 loss Big 10 Champ Ohio State. The answer is probably.

It would be hilarious if the Big 12 deciding to go to a championship game ends up screwing them out of a playoff spot if Oklahoma loses the rematch to either TCU or Oklahoma State.

I think it slices both ways. I think if Wiscy and Miami both win out, along with Alabama, the only thing that gets a 1 loss Oklahoma team into the playoff is a Big 12 title game, so it goes both ways. If Oklahoma finishes with one loss adn there is no Big 12 title game, and Miami, Wiscy, and Bama go undefeated, those three get in with Clemson and Oklahoma is on the outside looking in.

The one and only thing I'm sure of after today is that Notre Fucking Dame is not getting into the playoff. Fraud team. Been a fraud team all year. Every win on their calendar is looking worse by the week, and their one loss to Georgia got a whole lot worse with Georgia's egg today.

The one and only thing I want is for the undefeated teams to get into the playoff. If Bama, Wisconsin and Miami all win out, they better get in. I don't care if the fourth spot goes to Oklahoma (who would probably be my choice, assuming they win out) or Clemson or anyone else. I just want the undefeated teams to have a chance to win it all.

If Miami goes undefeated, then Clemson is going to have two losses. The ACC will get one team (Whoever wins between Miami and Clemson).

If Alabama beats Auburn and then Georgia beats Alabama, I think both of them could go and maybe an undefeated Wisconsin team could get left out. But 538 has Wisconsin as 98% to make the playoff if they win out, so there you go.

The top 8 teams on the 538 list have four guaranteed losses still, I think:

Alabama//Auburn
one of those two/Georgia
Miami/Clemson
Wisconsin/Ohio State (unless Ohio State loses first, in which case still four)

So that will sort things out a lot.
