Wow, they are covering James Washington, one of the best receivers in the NCAA one on one, and giving him a massive cushion, and he drops the 1st one, and whiffs on the second one. And now another whiff on third down by the running back out of the backfield. The drop on 1st down was brutal.
Those drops really sucked the wind out of the team. That 4th down play was awful.

Purdue and Indiana both win today, so the Big Ten will get an 8th bowl team when they play each other next week. Only Air Force among potential 5-6 teams is ahead of Minnesota in APR, so there's a possibility the Gophers could be the conference's 9th bowl team at 5-6 even with a loss to Wiscy next week.

UMass with a nice win over BYU, first road win over an FBS team since UMass moved up.
First road win verse a non-MAC team to be fair. With that win Umass at 4-7 has secured its best FBS record ever. That is both really sad but also a nice little sign. They have won 4 out their 5 last games with their only loss away to currently #17 Mississippi State (their 39 point loss to Auburn will probably end that ranking) with their backup QB starting. All in all not bad for a team that has essentially been a garbage fire since the moved up. Baby steps.

That USC punt return was crazy, I watched it like four times and still don't really understand what happened unless the punter and the guy who caught the kick (not the returner) went in together on a big bet that the first score of this game would be a punt return TD.

How anyone could watch this game and conclude Darnold is a better prospect than Rosen is beyond me.

Rosen is going through progressions, making good reads, anticipating routes well, and nearly inch perfect on many of his passes.

Darnold is hitting his primary reads or panicking.

Of course this guarantees CLE will pass over him.

Yeah, I'm hardly a talent scout, but I love Rosen as a prospect.

These have been my sentiments all season. There is the issue of USC offensive line having a lot of injuries, but even if that's the case, check two reads then get out of the pocket and throw it away. Instead he panics and either hangs in there too long without looking anywhere, or launches it. He has 11 INTs, and worse, 9 fumbles, not sure if he has small hands or just that he gets hit a lot, (or I guess a combo of the two).

The odd thing is that on the one hand, staying another year with a healthy o-lin might do him wonders, but a lot of it will be undoing bad habits.

Utah coach guilty of over-thinking. Washington marches the field to tie the game at 30 with just under a minute left. Utah can't convert a first down, punts with about 30 seconds yet. Washington runs off tackle, clearly playing for OT. Utah coach decides to call timeout, forcing Huskies to run plays and potentially fumble a snap. Instead, they drive the field and kick the gamewinner as clock runs out.
