Probably. I just always assume they're pretty good and ND is pretty overrated. Maybe not this year.
Nits do have other playmakers but they kind of ignored them tonight. Plus their O-Line got hammered tonight.n
Told you this before but the backup QB is very talented and he is 6-5 but McSorley would have to get hurt for Tommy Stevens to play.
I think psu was a bit predictable most of the game.. when you have a guy like Barkley you feed him but at some point you need to at least fake a pass. That last drive was mostly through the air and Iowa had some trouble with it... mcsorley didn't have a good game but that last drive was legit. Iowa played great though too.
I didnt realize how much handchecking they let go in college FB.. I think a lot of that play in the secondary would be automatic PI in the NFL.
Hey, even good teams, and good players, have flat games. Mark this one up in that category for Penn State and McSorley. What makes the difference is what other players can do in their off days. Penn State showed themselves to be a dominant team defensively when they had to be, put the load on Barkley when they needed it, and then even the less-than-optimal McSorley brought it home. A chin-by-chinny-chin-whisker, but every team needs one.
Stevens is probably better. McSorely seems like a douchebag anyway. Nice punt after the game, buddy.
McSorley is a competitor and that covers up the rough edges of his game. Kicking the football was just an expression of relief. He will see the film and know his two turnovers almost lost the game. The whole team has stuff to work on if they want to compete with Michigan and tOSU.
