I'm in for golf wherever we try to have one. I'm living west of Hartford now. Average reds. I'll meet up for a round with ya in the spring.

Count me in 10-12 handicap. Getting married in June so the clock is ticking on my golf time. I'm west of Hartford in Farmington . Average red we will have to get a round in this spring

Whoops didn't think first post went through.

Mullinax is interesting. I did think about him He has at least one exceptional tool, but it seems his game is very raw right now other than that one tool. He may overpower a course at some point this year and win a tourney, it sure wouldn't be a surprise, but I think he is going to roll up about 70% missed cuts. Three years from now there is a good chance he is a first rounder

I agree completely. I read a quote (I think Golf Digest) that he has similar physical tools to Dustin Johnson. So like a real poor man's DJ.

I really think your assessment is spot on. He won't make a lot of cuts, but he could win a tournament this year. That is decent value for the 6th round.

CHAD CAMPBELL

I was very strongly considering Mullinax. Campbell, while old, has made a ton of cuts in a row and finished in fifth I think today. Hoping for good value here.

I was definitely considering Campbell, that's a good pick here.

I'm going a different route, gonna pick a Top 40 player and hope I can make hay in the majors/WGC events and maybe he'll pick up a few more.

Yeah, I kind of figured Bud would go at some point in the next day

Both of HeavyDe's picks were who I wanted for a 7th round pick. I really feel like I have no idea what I am doing this year. My best pick Hudson Swafford peaked a few weeks to early.

That makes me feel a little bit better. I know that Barber wasn't even drafted last year but finished I think 98th on last year's spreadsheet.
I was afraid I took him way too early but he has been playing decent and I was pretty sure he wouldn't have made it back to me at pick 160.

If you had your eye on someone and they are left in the 7th round, by definition that is not too early.

It's complete luck to get anything more than the occasional one or three point performances from this round.

To win this thing you need to get above 300 points combined for the season. Thats an average of 37.5 per player. If you don't have a stud putting up 80+ points my formula is as follows

Round 1 - 60 points
Round 2 - 50 points
Round 3-5 - 40 points
Round 6&7 - 30 points
Round 8 - 20 points

If you can try to target players that may get you that point total you have a shot. So Blayne Barber who put up 21 points last season, has a fair shot to improve on that and get one more top 10 or a few more top 25's to get you to the 30 points you need from that slot. I think it was a good pick.

This is 100% correct. I hit the lottery grabbing Roberto Castro last year with pick 152 and he yielded top 25 value in points. That is not the norm.

Thanks for the information. Again it is my first year in the league so it is good to know how the picks in each round performed in the past.

Thanks for providing. That makes a lot of sense.

i took Fathauer in the 8th round last year and he got me 19 points, which is what you could expect from an 8th rounder

Love both those pics DS. Peterson has a ton of talent and is a guy who may breakout one year, and it could be this one. And man I hope Poulter works out for you, because the world of Golf is so much more fun when Poulter is a part of it, I love that SOB

And I took Carl Pettersson who had as many WDs as points for me last year.

On that note, I'll take a guy who got 28 points last year and I almost took with my last pick, I'm kind of surprised he came back to me here. Just going to grind out a lot of cuts made, hopefully mix a couple high finishes here and there. Interestingly, he was taken at pretty much this same spot last year too.

Guy is on a hot streak and fun to watch, and his schedule has him in a good deal of PGA events this year.

I had Spencer Levin in this round last year. He is a good value pick.

Good call, we did that last year, winner take all. I'm down to do it again (and I can collect again).

I'm uncomfortable by the number of players I considered last round who are still available this round

It feels like everyone is drafting for upside this year, which seems nuts to me but I haven't built any great shakes teams so it's making me super non confident.

Only if @Lupe Whalewatch gets us back on track...

That said, if we only have 7 rounds done by Thursday, I'm ok with the $5 tourney just using our top 7 picks too. Or letting people finish during the tourney, it is only $5 after all.
