I believe you.I think I played better yesterday than Jason Day today.
I don't think Poulter wasn't trying to win. I think he pulled a few wedges down the stretch. He hit a whole bunch of wedges hole high that he just didn't get close.Poulter didn't play the last few holes like someone who wanted to win - he wanted to finish second. But man, that one shot at the end was worth it; that'll certainly get him his card for next year.
As for Kim...what a round, and what a short game in particular.
Maybe. But I suspect he only slightly pulled both wedges at 16 and 17 - I don't think he was taking dead aim, but instead trying to use the slopes to get close. And his choice to lay up on 16 instead of trying to chase a medium iron through the gap didn't seem like the play of someone doing everything he could to win.I don't think Poulter wasn't trying to win. That's beats Jon Rahm who started yesterday somewhere around 15th, and managed to drop to missed the secondary cut by barfing all over an 82Impressive round from JB. Shoots an 84 to go from T1 to T41.
He's one of those guys I just irrationally hate. It makes no sense, he's pretty milquetoast, but watching him blow up always makes me happy.Impressive round from JB. Shoots an 84 to go from T1 to T41.
You hate the guy that had brain surgery and made it back on tour as a winner? He's one of those guys I just irrationally hate. It makes no sense, he's pretty milquetoast, but watching him blow up always makes me happy.
Didn't know he had brain surgery, but I'm not sure why it would make a difference when it comes to hated that is admittedly irrational. Irrational, adj: groundless, baseless, unfounded, unjustifiable. You hate the guy that had brain surgery and made it back on tour as a winner?
You literally have no soul.
Apparently you weren't the only one who thought this.Poulter didn't play the last few holes like someone who wanted to win - he wanted to finish second. But man, that one shot at the end was worth it; that'll certainly get him his card for next year.

...and Poulter didn't take it too kindly"He's lining up in the middle of the green,” said Chambee. “The person he is trying to beat is playing a par-5 behind him, and he's got two shots to make up, and he plays to the middle of the green.”
You can watch it with him this weekend. He didn't get it done today, but at the US open I'm going to
Watch out for Charl
I wonder if it's more about Bones. The Mickelson's are close with John Rahm, I wonder if Bones is taking over the bag for a young star in the making. I really have no idea about Rahm's current caddy, but there are enough connections between Rahm and the Mickelson's that I wonder if something like this is possible.odd move for a 47 year old who has had the same caddy his entire career. Phil is having a decent year too, with 4 top 10's. Wonder whats going on here?
That was my exact thought as well. I wasn't thinking about Rahm specifically but more that it could be Bones looking for someone new.I wonder if it's more about Bones.
