Mike Reiss is saying that Pats and Texans are working on joint practices for Week 2 to be held at The Greenbrier.
So is it too early to pick out the guys the Pats will be trying to trade for or sign off of the texans next year?
Two opening night games:
Pats vs Chiefs
Falcons on road vs Seahawks
Added bonus: Goodell can go to Seattle game
FWIW, Volin has reported, and PFT is channeling, that Pats kick off the season against the Chiefs and that Falcons likely open their new stadium on SNF. So Goodell and Blank would avoid Foxborough opening night. Makes sense to me.
Why would Goodell be avoiding opening night in Foxboro? That's a Thursday night game.

I would advise that he bite the bullet, take his boos with the unveiling of the new banner, and try to exorcise this once and for all to the extent that it can be dealt with. But I think that would be forward thinking ...

My futile stab at putting together a Pats schedule. Fairly confident that they're playing KC on opening night and prime time games with Pittsburgh, Oakland in Mexico City, and I think they'll pull the LA market in for a Saturday night game.

Super news for all of us who may be driving home Sunday to the DC area from the holiday weekend.
On fall Sundays driving home to MD from visiting family in RI, I always check the NFL schedule to see if/when Jets, Giants, Eagles, Ravens and Wash are playing at home that day and time my drive accordingly.
But who cares if the team is unhappy? I mean that honestly. All teams likely have some complaint about their schedule or something. What are they going to do? Not show up?

Of course they'll show up and I understand your point, but the game is going to do huge ratings no matter what, so why piss off Blank when it was a big enough thing that Richardson made a point to throw a hissy fit over it last season?
Mike Francesa came on with the Giants schedule. They open in Dallas on SNF yet again then their home opener is on MNF against Detroit.
SoSH ate my post. I eliminated SF (sucky), Oakland (plays in Mexico SNF before), and Dallas (plays earlier in the day) as their opponents. Leaves Denver, Arizona, Philly, Giants, and Minnesota as potential opponents. I am guessing it will be the Giants.

Another notable Giants game is home for Arizona on Christmas Eve. Giants first 4 are Dallas, Detroit, Philly, and Tampa.

Since 2012 the Giants/Cowboys have played in the opening week 5 out 6 years. 4 of them in Dallas.
Hoping they avoid scheduling a brutal September / early October game here in Tampa. If it's not a blast furnace 92° its a thunderstorm delay. Would prefer the tilt to be in November or December.
