Just to contrast, the Masters top 10 after two days had Spieth, Adam Scott, Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples, Rickie Fowler, Sergio, and John Rahm. Now that was a leaderboard. 7 names, 6 huge names, one up and comer psychopath hot head.

The US Open has Fleetwood Mac and Butch Harmon and a porn star with a huge dong and Lovermark, and Schauffele Along, and an amateur. Granted, the amateur has the name Champ. So good luck, Champ.

14 guys in the lead or within one shot. Even with a crap leaderboard, that's pretty cool.

15 now with Reed's birdie.

Fowler just hit a chip on the green because he was so far away. You also don't see that very often. Turns out it was a bad idea.

It wasn't just the distance, if he had putted it he would have needed to go way in to the fringe in order for it to get anywhere near the hole.
As you said his chip wasn't anywhere near either so it may have been better to putt.

Hot take: After breaking the lowest score to par in US Open history, Thomas will fold on the front nine tomorrow.

Still, what a round today, he's been incredible.

A 3 Wood from 299 yards to 8 feet, that's a pretty good shot.
Agreed he'll probably fold but what a round.

Fleetwood with an almost brutal tee shot on 16, yards away from the sand, short side, but then it rolls around and up and down, 8 feet from the hole.

Six times in US Open history has a golfer played all four rounds under par. There will be ten golfers with a chance to join them tomorrow.

I hit my ball, I rolled it down. Climbed the fescue and it turned around. And I saw my ball roll down those green covered hills, 'till the big hill took it down.

Harman needs to fire his caddy and get one that is roughly his size. The one he has now is about a foot taller than him and makes him look comically small.

I checked he is 5'7" so he doesn't need too much help to look comically small.

This is going to be a great a finish. It feels like the winner could come from anywhere in the last 5-7 groups. I don't understand the crying over the leaderboard not having the big names. That's stupid.

A shootout to win the US Open would be fun to see. Sure it's different and not what you'd expect to see at a US Open but that doesn't make it bad. I wouldn't like to see it like this every year but some variety in Opens from year to year is not a bad thing. This is going to be fun

Golf channel pregame indicated that the USGA slowed the greens (by lessening the intensity of rolling) out of concern they won't be playable in the high winds.

So I'm taking that as they expect wind all day.
