White has to take a lot of blame here.

Khabib does not have a history for doing anything close to this.

Umm, Joe Rogan questions if UFC will strip Khabib. That would be adding salt to wound. A massive fine, perhaps. Even a suspension but you can't take the belts away from the Champ.
If Khabib gets stripped after Conor is rewarded for atttacking the bus, it would be a crime.

See I thought he’d have more striking highlights at least, but Khabib landed the one hard shot. He had more fortitude on the ground than I figured, but Khabib was in control basically ever second. I expected a bit more danger in the early rounds from Conor.
Khabib has by far the best strike.

What were the odds on a Khabib ko, because it looked like he almost had that for a second.

Connor's guys who attacked Khabib are fucked, I dont think the state of Nevada plays on shit like that nonsense. I dont think Khabib has much risk in terms of legal issues, and the organization that didnt punish Connor or John Jones for legal shit shouldn't have much room to come after Khabib, but he is not a draw like either of those guys.... so I wouldn't be surprised to see Dana baby his best draw and do some ridiculous shit.

Considering his issues with both the Dagistanis and the Detroit fighters like Kevin Lee, and the fact that he clearly hasn't helped Connor's ground game that much, perhaps Dana should get rid of Dylan Dannis.

But, aside from that, what a great card.

Did you know Marcelo Garcia kicked Danis out of his gym a while back. Marcelo Garcia, the sweetest guy ever in BJJ couldn’t put up with this guys bullshit.

Woodley and Bispig are great commentators. So is Cormier. So much better than boxers. Must be the college wrestling scholarships?

Conor also called him a "Chechen traitor" apparently so... you know... talk that shit and see what happens I guess
In the ring tonight or previously?
Edit .I guess that doesn't really matter when.

Yeah, I don’t think we necessarily appreciate what some of this stuff means to people in other parts of the world. I remember meeting some Chechans when I was young and trying to figure out where they were from. They pointed to a map. “Oh, Russia?” That almost ended realllllly bad for me.

Bisping just had a great point - "How different was Khabib's actions than Connor coming over the cage at Aldo after the Dennis Silver fight?

Dana said Khabib’s teammates are headed to jail.

Dana is also legit purple. Is that booze or drugs or what?

I just watched the highlight clip from the pre-fight press conference. One, it was not opened to the public and two, CM was late to it.

Khabib sits there calm and collected while CM talks about the bus, pulls out bottles of his whiskey brand, questions KN's manhood, and consistently interrupts when KN speaks.

I can only imagine the Champ fantasizing about the damage he'll do in the ring while putting up with CM's usual ranting and raving.

KN was absolutely wrong for jumping out of the octagon but boy, it takes quite a man to store all that vindictive energy in with a smile and unleash it in the ring.

So I'm just assuming Khabib is getting stripped of the title in the fallout, Connor and Tony fight for the vacated title, and we are back here in a about year for Khabib vs the winner.

That’d look awful. Conor jumped out of the ring and got a title fight against Aldo. Then attacked a bus and got this fight. Khabib jumps out of the ring and gets stripped?

3 of them, to be exact.

The purple seems like both terrible video processing and some adrenaline still rushing through his bald head.
Think what you want, if I ever see that dude snap his fingers I’m gonna shit my pants.

Noobs on the first best mma forum used to ask “is Dana a fighter?” And the running joke and his nickname was BLAF, because he wasn’t a fighter but he was Built Like A Fighter

Other then Khabib essentially Jon Jones'ing his big moment, fight went pretty much as expected though.

I don't see Connor beating Tony either.

I didn’t know until 4 months ago, but I think Firas and I might have been separated at birth.

Conor apparently refused to press charges and the guys were released. Not sure why not pressing charges matter; the assault is on video, but fairly standup of Conor.

Not surprised- Replays show Conor threw the first punch in the cage. A cheap shot on one of khabibs training partners while they were both on top of the fence.

Judges apparently gave CM the 3rd round. They all had it 29-27

He dropped the charges because he took the first swing at one of Khabib's guys. Fan video caught this.

I had no idea the biggest winner of the night was going to be Dillon Danis. Bravo to him.

Again spelled Conor, he didn't look like himself. A little slow, not very lean, probably not himself after catching that crazy overhand.

Khabib is facing trouble here, not from the UFC but from NSAC. I think he's probably facing a year long suspension, and the UFC will have to strip him. 155 have to keep moving.

Lewis is quickly becoming my favorite fighter.

Conor didn’t look like himself because he didn’t gas out early. Otherwise, he was exactly who a lot of people thought he was.

I still think Conor is pretty damn good. It’s just obvious that Khabib’s elite ground attack is something that nobody can resist.
He’s top 5-10 in the division, which is world class, but he’s not great or historic outside his showmanship.

Im with you on that. But showmanship counts for a lot in terms of his legacy. He’s helped raise the popularity of MMA significantly.
I think it’ll depend how he goes out. He just turned 30 and has looked bad against Diaz twice, Khabib and Mayweather with that little detour. Showmanship is great, but you have to win, and his antics have crossed the line too.

I think he is a great 45. He is just a really good 55

McGregor is one of five multi-weight champions in UFC’s history. There are better fighters than him who did not do that (Jones, Silva, Hughes), but that’s a feather for his cap. He will be viewed as a historic fighter and as an all-time great. Let’s not overreact to a loss to an excellent champion.

If you think he looked bad against Diaz twice we just aren't going to agree on much on Conor at all. This to me was his worse looking performance. I actually started thinking he looked a little soft and unengaged during his walk in. I don't think he has the fire that pushed him to the top right now. He wouldn't be the first.

Top 1-2 ever at 45 and top 5 now at 55. It's just really hard to be an all time great when there's a glaring hole in your game, especially when it's on the ground.
