I wonder if Belichick was worried about Seahawks taking Wynn and didn’t see much difference in whatever other player he would get at 23 versus what would drop to 31.

Wynn did not visit the Patriots nor meet with him at UGA pro day. More proof that the visit list doesn't mean much.
Look, nearly 80% of the guys they picked in the first 4 rounds since 2013 were guys who visited. Plus they have a pseudo connection with UGA. Smart is a former Saban guy. Think Belichick and Scar didn't make a call?

I think the Seahawks think they have the line pretty much set (for better or for worse) and they'll probably use a couple of 5ths on OL.

Bruce Irvin wasn't really a great pick either. Wasn't he the 15 overall? I'm not saying he was a bust but at 15 overall he was blah at best.

Actually was serious. I felt like Seymour was the last, but didn't think that could be right. Forgot Mitchell was a GA player.
My bad, my girlfriend's family are big UGA fans (she also went there for her undergrad) and they follow UGA players in the NFL religiously. Some sort of logical fallacy - maybe information bias?

In terms of roster considerations if you lose Shaq Mason he likely would qualify for a 3rd or 4th round comp pick. They were high on Garcia. They needed quality depth at both positions and now have 3 guys to compete for OT.

Can't help but thinking this really was a great move.
Could Joe Thuney kick out to tackle?

Rocking a shimmering gold suit as you walk across the floor on national TV after nearly being paralyzed within the last few months is historically badass.

So Penny and then Edmunds. I am floored. I liked them too - just had day 2 and day 3 grades on them. So did a lot of others...

Great pick! Taven Bryan at 29 was a dream I think for them. That's a nice consolation prize after losing out on Hayden Hurst. Actually losing out on Hurst probably did them a favor.
