If we're talking about arm strength, then Michael Vick is the comp I'd use for Mahomes. People forget how strong Vick's arm. He'd just flick the wrist and the ball would travel 70 yards. Accuracy was an issue though.

As for athleticism, Vick has him beat, but I think Rodgers is a very good comp in that respect.
Agreed. Vick might be up there with Jim Brown as the best athlete to ever play in the NFL. Mahomes might end up being a more effective QB, but he’s in that class of pure athlete just below with Rodgers. Which is in no way an insult.

I'm sure Reid will find a way to wreck it come playoff time
All of game day criticism is legit. There is nobody better at the QB business in the NFL than Andy Reid.

When to get in on someone, when to get out. How to develop.

So much for the Chiefs taking “a step back.”

Rodgers is pretty athletic. He can run tremendously well, and he's got a cannon, even when his body isn't in perfect position. That's Mahomes over the past three games. Randall is good too, but that's also 30 years ago.
30 years, so what. Joe Montana goes back further than that and he’s still top 2 QB (after TB12). Rodgers is a phenomenal QB, but Cunningham could leave tacklers littered all over the field more when he ran, things like that. Also, are people ready to say this soon that Mahomes can throw the ball like Aaron? Too early.

Dolphins just got hosed on a phantom offensive interference call.
Instead of easy field goal range and movin toward a TD, thy wind up with nothing.

It’s hard to enjoy these games when such incompetence can so greatly effect the result.

I dropped Watkins this week and now am playing against him. That's woeful.

Mahomes has throw TDs to nine different players this season. In 10 quarters.

Plus Mahomes has 13 TDs, which is the most in history in the first 3 games of the season. In 10 quarters.

Cunningham was a better rushing QB, but Rodgers has been far, far more accurate. It’s debatable whether Randall was a better athlete, you seem focused on his agility and speed, but whatever advantage he has over Rodgers there, I think, is made up by Aaron’s arm strength and accuracy.

I got that beat. Guy i'm playing started Javorious Allen at RB. He had done exactly nothing through 1.5 quarters, when Alex Collins got dinged up and had to come off the field, with Baltimore in the red zone. The very next play was an Allen catch in the flat that he ran in for a touchdown. Quick 8 points for Allen, when Collins was killing it.

Meanwhile, I was so excited this week to have Dalvin Cook run all over Buffalo. He was inactive, so I was still excited to have Latavius Murray. He has .5 points.

I picked Murray in my DraftKings battle this week. He's not doing well.

In some ways it's hard to tell how good Mahomes is right now due to the amount of talent around him. He's basically playing pitch and catch to wide open guys or throwing screens to players who can pick up a million yards in the open field. Good 'problem' to have. Lets see how he does when these guys start getting hurt like Rodgers and Brady have dealt with for years.

I don't mean that as a dig against Mahomes. He's clearly very good.

But his movement and scrambling ability is excellent. We've seen plenty of examples of that. If anything, he's making everyone around him better, not the other way around.

Don't forget the offensive line. They are playing fantastic too. He's standing in very, very clean pockets.

Oh for sure, he's certainly an upgrade over Smith who was also really good for them last year until the playoffs.

Rodgers is definitely better overall than Cunningham and I’m not ready to put Mahomes with Aaron. That would take a couple of full seasons of Mahomes playing about like now.

No one is putting Mahomes with Rodgers yet but with the huge caveat of "after 2.5 games" I think Rodgers is the obvious comp. The discussion might look really dumb in a few more weeks but it doesn't right now.

Jags with a letdown game today was one of the most predictable outcomes ever. They’re still drunk from their SB win.
Bortles is mediocre, he was going to become a pumpkin again. It's like what happened with Foles, these guys cannot maintain that level of performance for long.

This is just a nightmare game for the Vikings, the likes of which you rarely see.

3 first downs, and 3 turnovers, against a team that couldn't beat Alabama in the first two weeks of the season.

Every season has about a dozen results that make absolutely no sense. This is one of those.

The Bills squeaking out a 17-14 win would have been a nonsensical result. This is an absolute domination of a team many consider a potential super bowl champion, by a team that had a player retire at halftime.

It's past no sense. It's a sign we are in a simulation.

it's like Philly scoring 35 straight on us at Foxboro a couple years ago when Sam Bradford was still the QB. this shit does happen.

The almighty Jaguars in a 6-6 battle with Tennessee. Teams like Jacksonville who put so much emphasis on beating the Patriots always seem to trip up to teams they think they are better than. It's a tale as old as time.

FPI gave the Bills a 9.2% chance to win today. If Buffalo does win, it would be the largest FPI upset since the Bucs beat the Saints in Week 16 of 2009 (7.5%) and the fourth-largest upset in the history of NFL FPI game predictions, which date back to 2008.

It is a question, what is Clay Matthews supposed to do? You have to finish the tackle because these QBs can get away. Unless you want him to bend the laws of physics while trying to sack a QB?
